Here is my room of hundreds of medals, but forget those and LOOK AT THIS - I just knitted the cutest pink hat ever and I love it and it's so warn and the perfect chunkiness and....oh, those? No those are just some medals I won, but check out this hat I just knitted. Isn't it just brilliant?

Welcome to the world of the addi machine. I've had mine for over 2 years now. And made hundreds of hats, neck warmers and scarves and ear warmers. I donate most of mine to the homeless and veteran's. Xx

Reminds me of the cottonreel and nails little gadget where you would wind the wool round and hook it over to make a long piece you could sew into mats or dolls hats, French knitting I think it was called. Lovely coloured blanket that Robbie had.

One little tip. Pull the yarn from the centre. It stops the yarn from bouncing around. ❤

Oh wow! That was so quick to make and looks so warm and cosy! I've been thinking about getting one of those machines for ages. I've just had a birthday so will have to put it on my Christmas list! It's a while to wait but my family never know what to get me and they'll be shocked when, just for a change, I'll be able to tell them exactly what I want with plenty of notice! Your son was so sweet when he thanked you for making his hat. You're bringing him up with perfect manners. Well done! x

I made a pink one on my sentro machine I got for Christmas. I literally wear it every day! I made it with Caron Colorama Halo in Orchid Frost. So soft and snuggly, an amazing acrylic yarn.

Great job - I have an Addi machine too and made a couple hats to start off. You are going to love it. There’s a lot of tutorials on KZbin for color changes and textures.

Hey Tom! As an Addi addict myself I like to follow “koala knits and knacks”. Your children will love ❤️ it. I made Winnie the Pooh and a sleepy baby but you need the 22 needle as well as the king size machine for these projects.

There is someone on Utube that makes them but hooks up some kind of drill/router piece up to the handle and it does the spinning for him. Should look into that lol😮

Just a sugestion , in my workshop we have put an old drill -motor on the leaver of a similar knitting loom ... much quicker , keep on knitting !

Great gadget, however, I prefer my little round loom for knitting, especially making hats, I like changing the stitches too. Maybe try a manual one next time?

I have a sentro and for some reason I cannot get the flat panels to work only tubes 😢😢😢 I really want an addi as they are supposed to be much better but i can not make the commitment price wise I also really want a sock machine but the learning curve is supposed to be quite tough

THe machine will knit a hat but you have to sit there and crank it with a tiny knob the entire time XD the next version of this machine better be automated and be programmable.

As a complete non-knitter [who therefore should have no opinion] at first I was thinking that for you, as a superb knitter, using a machine would be less theraputic and creative. The hats are fantastic! I couldn't 'see' the shape till you put it all together at the end. You've got to mass produce the pink ones, add some sort of LGBTQI+ / Tom Daley motif / logo ...they'd sell like hotcakes [and especially at PRIDE!]. How can you control and adjust the machine? For example, could you knit tiny wee things for Phoenix?
