How do you blend the colors so well? I've been attempting to work with colored pencils when coloring trout and I can't seem to get it to look as good as my water colors.

@@j_scheb I use a fine grain cold-press museum board (Crescent 1536). And very sharp pencils. Color goes down using tiny circles, leaving a bit of the paper grain showing (that's for the subsequent colors.) There needs to be grain as long as you are adding another prismacolor over another, with possible exception of black. Once that built up color is a bit darker than I want, I'll burnish with a lighter color to remove what remains of the paper grain. That help?
