How wonderful to be living in a time when such beautiful music is being written for trombone and Eric Ewazen is certainly one of those very talented composers!
@shawnprime11435 жыл бұрын
Eric Ewazen has arguably done the greatest service to trombonists' everywhere with his well written, inciteful literature. Eric brings out the inherit beauty of our instrument. My deepest thanks to you Mr. Ewazen.

Bravo! Such fantastic expression and the SOUND! Exceptional! Thank you, guys! Thank you, thank you!
Aside from this being beautiful and just hard enough so you can tell it's hard even though these guys are great, my favorite thing here is to see that even professional trombonists sometimes touch their bells when in 3rd or 4th position. My teacher said not to and 26 years later, I'm still trying not to.

I agree, a really wonderful composition and interpretation with warm sound. The next CD I buy of you is with this piece.!.... But what I'm asking is why doesn't stands there NDR (norddeutscher Rundfunk) on the background instead of SR for a great ensemble from Hannover?? Ashaming!

Is the left hand brace on Tomer's bass bone a standard option? Or is it a personal modification? I can imagine that it would help distribute the increased weight of the instrument (I play tenor), but I've never seen it before...
@shiderio6 жыл бұрын
i believe it's a hand brace manufactured by Hagmann (aswell as the valves he has on his trombone) but could be by Rath aswell, i think they had something alike too. And yes, it is made to reduce stress in the left hand. That's useful because that stress can negatively affect your sound and because you need the middle finger of that hand for the second valve on a bass trombone

@ExtremeRecluse4 жыл бұрын
Why the hand support?
@sccrguy6104 жыл бұрын
ExtremeRecluse Trombones are one of the more awkward instruments to hold easily without undue hand/wrist stress. There is no ergonomically designed “handle” or grip to hold onto. The bass trombone also has more weight to it, making it even more awkward to handle. Having that hand support system will help prevent Tendinitis, as well as just make playing the instrument more ergonomic and enjoyable.
