It's consists of two members - Dallon Weekes and Ryan Seaman. Dallon plays bass. He was in panic! At the disco, he left last year in December. Ryan Seaman is the drummer. He was in a band called falling in reverse. A long time ago before they were in patd and fir they were in a band together called the Brobecks.

Tom background information on Idkhbtfm There are two members Dallon Weekes ( vocals and bass) and Ryan seaman (drums) They are supposed to be a band out of the late 70’s and early 80’s and slowly tales of them playing are being recovered (hence why their ep is called 1981 extended play) Dallon Weekes played bass in panic at he Disco from around 2009 to when he left last December Ryan seaman played drums in falling in reverse (don’t listen to them) Anyway they started working on this project in 2016 and their first song came out August of last year. Their first ep came out November 9th and yeah Also rn they are opening for waterparks!!

TOM! ITS CALLED A TRANSITION!!! IF YOU PLAY THE WHOLE ALBUM IN ORDER IT TRANSITIONS BETWEEN EACH SONG..
@chris210racer5 жыл бұрын
Emma J I have come to the conclusion that Tom doesn’t really listen to full albums, so he’s not all that exposed to the concept of song transitions within albums. This is actually something I’ve seen in the younger generation and in those not so well exposed to the rock genre (I actually wrote a paper about this kind of phenomena for a class a few semesters ago).
@brucebowen51224 жыл бұрын
BrightRaven210 [Chris] ok
@catcactus12344 жыл бұрын
BrightRaven210 [Chris] I’d say the younger generation isn’t exposed to it because artists nowadays simply don’t use song transitions that much anymore. The most notable occurrence could be Billie Eilish, but she only used one song transition in the whole album. It’s just not a popular device anymore (outside of specific niche bands/genres), so obviously not many people are going to be aware of the concept.
@aghostwithtwobrokelegs99954 жыл бұрын
@@catcactus1234 i wouldn't even say that it's becuase artist don't use them anymore. I would say that its pop artist who rely on singles and songs that are released outside out the ablum to get on charts, they don't see the need to pay much attention to the other songs or transitions in between them.

The stuff at the end of bleed magic was just some 80s kind of filler transition because their whole thing is a band set in the 80s, and we've uncovered their songs on this taped album. Hence their album title 1981, and starting it off with "introduction" which is just like the "come along with us and listen to these songs" like an 80s tape follow-along thing would've done. Same with Modern Day Cain. Also a big reason for so much synth. Choke is also the most streamed bc it was released as one of their earliest songs, while Do It all the time and the rest from the 1981 Extended Playlist were released less than a month ago. They have quickly picked up streams because they're amazing as you could tell now. Now you know why I wanted you to listen to them so badly, also was so happy before I even clicked on the video just because I saw the thumbnail.

here's some backstory on IDKHOW if anyone is wondering: it's a two person band of ryan seaman (drummer) and dallon weekes (singer, and bass). the reason they sound so 80s -esc is because they are supposed to be a band lost to time. what i mean by this is that IDKHOW makes their videos and songs so it's like they were a band from the 80s that never made it to fame.

i love that they make such good songs to dance to. it makes the crowd lively and loud. i remember sobbing when dallon left the band (panic! at the disco) but now im happy he did? because they started something amazing and it’s only the beginning.

“I’m gonna be listening to 5 songs instead of 3” They’re so new that that’s nearly all of their songs(on Spotify), might as well listen to the other 2 as well

the entire video i'm thinking what he will think of Choke (didn't ended the video yet) edit: dalon talking about kiLLING someone and tom "well this piano is very good" LMAO, thanks for doing the reacting, great videoo
@heraldofdreams6 жыл бұрын
I think Choke's number one because of the lyrics ?? I personally find it hilariously.. morbid, I guess, "if I could burn this town, I wouldn't hesitate to smile while you suffocate and die"

Btw if Tom reads this the trilogy is in this order: say amen (Saturday night), this is gospel, and emperors new clothes. Also I think you will enjoy LA Devotee, Hey look ma I made it, high hopes, and my favorite ballet of Mona Lisa

Soo glad he’s made a video on themmm 😤❤️. Fun facts, though I’m sure everyone’s already posted and stuff. Dallon Weekes, the lead singer, is a bass player and was in Panic! and The Brobecks. Ryan Seaman is a drummer and played for Falling in Reverse. This band is set in the late 70s and early to mid 80s, and has a plot line that suggests that they got nowhere and went “lost.” This has been a project for a long while and has only been made public within the last year or so with sightings of the band at Emo Nite performances. This album was a total surprise. He ( Dallon ) does the vocal stuff (breathing etc) live!

I love how during Choke he didn't even react to the 'I'd smile while you suffocate and die' bit 😂😂😂 he really does just focus on the drums
