Another idea here is to compare an average team (where the value of every player is as close to the average value as possible) versus an extreme team (say 5 of the most expensive players and then fill the rest with 1-5 million worth players)

Where are these market values from? Caicedo for 40m is a joke, his value is 100+, Frimpong's value is around 40m because that's his release clause if I remember correctly. Gavi's value is also 100+.
