The fact that tomiwa doesn't know how much positive impact she has on people's life is crazy. I am a Nigerian Muslim teenager who live in Nigeria. Because of tomiwa I feel confident in going out with the hijab, I'm even planning to become a full time hijabi and I now wake up every morning to pray Tahajud and workout and soo much more she has made me embrace islam even more than people I know personally have and I just feel so happy that I came across her channel in 2022. Hi Tomiwa! Loved the video 😊 I'm not Muslim but can anyone explain to me why people (including other Muslims), society and many other factors like to suffocate Muslim women? Sometimes it seems like that to me. Like you have to appear a certain way or behave a certain way. I honestly don't understand and genuinely would love an explanation from anyone. Do you guys feel a certain type of way? I genuinely want to understand and I'm open to corrections. No hate ❤

In everything that anyone may want to be there are rules and regulations on how to become it, and best practices. In order to get a degree, get a job, be a wife, mother etc., there are expectations and rules of engagement. So if those things which are relatively insignificant compared to our hereafter and where we will spend eternity has rules, then of course there are rules that our creator has put in place for how we are to live our lives. Allah is the one who created mankind therefore he knows the best way for us to live. I do not feel suffocated at all. Why should I feel suffocated? because I can't undress and wear barely any clothing? because I can't dishonor myself, and beautify myself for those who don't deserve my effort? What is so suffocating about the lives of Muslims women? Genuine question.

@powerfulmuslimah I didn't say anyone should wear barely any clothing. Maybe I don't understand the religion and may have asked the wrong question. But I noticed that if...for instance someone recently starts wearing the hijab everyone starts coming for the person not knowing she just started and is trying to keep up with what God has prescribed. I'm basically asking why some people in the religion pick on others not it isn't like that in other religions. But it's okay though.

@adaobiesheya3785 if someone says your shirt is on backwards, are they picking on you, or are they stating a fact that you might want to fix? New to Islam or not Allah is the one who told us to cover. And our prophet (pbuh) set the parameters of what it means to wear hijab, and it is specific about loose clothing, not wearing makeup not wearing perfume outside of the home for others to smell etc. These things are actually major sins. Its not light work .This is not a rule set by men, and while we shouldn't be rude, it is actually our job to say something at least when we see something wrong. We don't do (or shouldn't do) the "Only God can judge me" thing because judgement from Allah after you have been told you are wrong, and the wrong is clear in the book that we follow, yet we were too prideful to fix it is not something anyone in their right mind would want to deal with. This is why we don't let it go because someone can genuinely not know or not understand the seriousness of what they are doing. This was not said with rude intentions by the way, but when reading from someone you don't know it's hard to tell 😊.
