Probably my favorite era of comics is the late 70's to the early 90's with the 80's being the sweet spot.

100%! Could not agree more. The comics I collect in an effort to complete certain runs are ALL from this era

Well done and FUN!!! I'll hold on to my 80's books for a jump in price and to bequeath to my daughters to pay for their children's college educations.

Thank you. Though, unfortunately, tradebacks have killed the collectors market for most books.

I was an avid Moon Knight fan in the early 80s.

Truly a glorious era of comics. Hit after hit and story after story, the artists and writers come together and always deliver premium quality for $0.75. It’s a far cry from today’s comics that are $4.99 and up with low quality artists and writers telling me how men are so terrible and women are stronger and more competent than they are. Plus the weird race and sexuality swaps that have completely destroyed classic characters like Iceman, for the writers sick and twisted pleasures and egos. But if the big two wants to allow this it’s cool we always have back issues to buy and enjoy

Dc didn’t change the comic book industry in 80s
@superheropow13 жыл бұрын
So you don't believe The Dark Knight, Watchmen, Prestige Format, retcons and Creator rights had no serious impact on the industry? Okay.
@adrianrocha68443 жыл бұрын
@@superheropow1 I believe watchmen had an impact on the comic book industry but marvel did it first with squadron supreme and while marvel wasn’t the first to do graphic novels they started doing it in 1982 while dc didn’t do it until 1986 also the epic imprint pre dates vertigo by an entire decade and marvel has constantly changed the comic book industry for years like how they helped great artist come into the industry they started the event cycle and perfected it they basically made image comics when the artist they had left to create it the marvel age of comics changed superheroes forever that every other company including dc would try to imitate so yes I don’t believe dc has changed the comic book industry other than Superman’s debut and don’t bring up the dark knight returns that was a change for Batman not the industry

@@adrianrocha6844 I'm just going to have to disagree with you in saying, DC make no significant changes to the comicbook industry, apart from Superman :)
@adrianrocha68443 жыл бұрын
@@superheropow1 okay I don’t care if you disagree with me but dc hasn’t done anything to change the comic book industry if there has been any change it was change to fix their characters not the industry
