Tips for your mini crawler project you probably already know. Use cement to add more realistic and durable textures to your project. Mix cement into a milkshake consistency. Brush thicker than usual layers onto your entire mini crawler project. Working section by section. Dab brush to add additional textures to areas while it's drying. Use oil based paint to cover the cement in thin layers (for better textures). Oil based is more durable. Wait as long as you can for the oil based paint to cure. Weeks to months. The longer the stronger. Add some black paint to your colors you've used and thin out your oil based paint with mineral spirits to fill in the cracks. Making the textures pop. To take it even further, you can dry brush areas to make textures pop even more and make trails and tire burn marks that way too. You can add dirt and little rocks where you want and use an adhesive spray to keep them in place. Like dirt trails. Which adds realism. When your done with that. Let all that dry for as many days or weeks as you can before adding the finishing coat. Use an enamel based matte can spray to coat your entire project. At least 3 thin layers. The final coat will darken everything slightly and make colors more bold. Then add whatever details after, like trees, shrubs, signs, boulders, and bridges. Use a drill to make holes for them, due to cement layer. As I said, I'm sure you know most if not all of this already, but just in case. Here ya go.

Hey, only part way through the vid, but maybe try this tip on your crawler course. Try mixing regular premix plaster with regular latex wall paint (like burnt umber) and apply it and let it dry. We use it in TV/film for recreating cement and concrete. It holds up. Cheers. Great vids dude, all the hard work is inspiring! Cheers from Newfoundland!

Also a great product that helps with the mini course and keeping stuff from chipping etc is some texture paste, “AK diorama earth texture” they have a bunch of different types like light dirt, dark dirt, sand, asphalt etc. It’s like a plaster textured colored paste that covers plaster cloth really well, doesn’t chip and drys quickly with great texture for mini crawler tries. I don’t know how easy it is for you to get on your side of the pond but on Amazon you should be able to order it quick and easy. I use it on my courses and it really helps prevent chirping and stuff and holds up really well! 😄👍🏻 (not a sponsor) lol I just really enjoy the product

Old model RR trick for scenic plaster cloth. Dip pieces in coloured water. Get the water fairly dark in the colour you want, as you won't be dipping them for long. Also when using plaster add powdered dye to dry mix, or liquid dye to water, mix to desired colour. This way, scrapes are nearly invisible and adds realism. Water based paints work way better than spray paint.
