Fun Fact: When Tommy Boy said that "she's like a 10" about hid Dad's finance, that was a call back to actress Bo Derek starring in a movie called 10 in the late 70s early 80s.

I think Viki was trying to look up the guy that played Tommy's stepbrother and his name is Rob Lowe. Early in the filming of the movie the director realized while watching "dailies" that the movie wasn't going to be funny and that the only thing working was David Spade and Chris Farley acting together. The plot of the movie was quickly rewritten to allow David Spade and Chris Farley to improvise scenes together. Rob Lowe's part was cut down so much that he asked to not even be credited which is why he isn't listed in the cast.

Great reaction. Always loved this movie for a funny, light-hearted escape from reality. The actor who played Tommy's new "brother" was Rob Lowe, one of the original Brat-pack actors. He has many movie and tv credits. Tommy's new "Mom" was played by Bo Derek, who was at one time considered arguably the most beautiful woman in the world. Her introduction to the masses was first seen in the movie "10" with Dudley Moore. That movie is worth a watch as well.

Viki, If you're looking who the step brother is, it's Rob Lowe. He's been in movies like The Outsiders, St. Elmo's Fire, About Last Night, Youngblood (which is crap), Oxford Blues (also crap, in fact, it's worse), Behind the Candelabra & he was also in a movie based on a Saturday Night Live sketch called Wayne's World. He was also in the miniseries & the 90's version of The Stand, based on a Stephen King book. He was also in a TV-show called The West Wing. And he has different small or cameo roles in the Austin Powers movies.

In the movie 50 first dates they mention the institute there is funded by TB Callahan out of Sandusky, Ohio which is a reference to this movie. 16:10 this was an in-joke between the two when they shared an office during Saturday Night Live writing stuff for the show. 20:21 David Spade really did that to Chris Farley when they were in hotels.
