He sure was on fire here! it's crazy how you can tell. My first concert he was tommy as I knew him. The second one, it was somewhat a bad concert. the sound was off and tommy didn't seem to feel it. The third time I went to watch him, he was insane!!! I never knew even tommy had that in him. 3 Days ago i went too see him a 4th time and am glad to say after all this covid and him getting quite old, he's still just as good as ever

@philipgarrett2824 жыл бұрын
yes he really is on fire on this one..caught my ears alright! Also, have you seen the gig with Tommy, Richard Smith and Sylvain Luc? found Sylvains playing and integration with the other two amazing players very inspiring and memorable too
@shaunfogarty57443 жыл бұрын
@@philipgarrett282 That one really caught my eye!!- My take was: I thought Sylvain was being a real jerk to Richard Smith with his punky antics, and then when Tommy came out he was was stepping all over him and being arrogant and dismissive- I think he might have been a little intimidated or territorial? I dunno, but Tommy just slipped away from any ego battle, supports Sylvain's playing, flatters him with his stage patter, and after awhile the whole thing lifted off in a big incredible way and Sylvain melted into being yet another a Tommy fan along the way. I thought it was a remarkable transformation in attitude. Those two together in that show play the best improvised improvisational guitar set I've ever listened to. Then Tommy politely and deferentially asks Sylvain if its OK to bring Richard Smith back out (I think) so his pal can play some tunes in a much more flattering light, which he does. Tommy is so damn good and clearly a very thoughtful man.
