The angle on this video really highlights how long Tommy's fingers are. Golly. He's done so much with his talents. Such an inspiration.

One of the best reviews we have received to date, from an experienced AER Compact 60 user: "Prior to the Da Capo, I've been using a high quality acoustic amplifier that I was very satisfied with how it amplifies acoustic guitar and vocals. After hearing about how some of my favorite guitarists had recently switched to a Da Capo 75, I was intrigued to try one out. Very quickly it became my new favorite way to amplify acoustic instruments. It makes everything sound bigger and more open than anything I had tried previously. What I liked the most about it is how its natural sound makes me play pretty much exactly the same way as I do when I'm playing an acoustic guitar unplugged. With other amps I find that I slightly adjust elements of my technique to get things sounding just right. It's seamless to go from unplugged acoustic guitar to the Da Capo and it makes playing much more fun and rewarding. Don't let its small size fool you, this amp sounds huge and is packed with features. The onboard effects sound fantastic, and are all very simple to dial in. This is simply an extremely well engineered piece of gear with lots of attention paid to the small details that make a great difference to the user experience. So I definitively love this amplifier. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical that there was something better than a Compact 60, but that was because I was very happy and satisfied with that amp. I still think its an excellent amp. But the Da Capo builds upon it and improves it."

I love my 60/4, but have always been a little disappointed in the lack of low end. I wonder if this decapo improves on that?

I am Using the AER Compact 60 for over 10 years now and was curious about the Da Capo 75. Really a great update by the designer of the AER compact. The AER has too much high tones for me. This is now more natural on the dacapo. it's also slightly louder en it has 2 DI out! I didn't get the reason why the AER had only 1 combined signal. Not usable for any sound engineer. It is small, light and loud, great natural sound, the voice sound great too. It's reliable, really a no-brainer to buy! LOVE THE DA CAPO 75

Both Tommy and Joe Robinson swear by these. Now it makes me wonder if I should consider it as a replacement for my schertler jam 200. It was also great to hear tommy talk about some differences of the stock models versus his custom shop TE personal.

This guy could make an old cigar tin with strings sound great, never mind the latest 'soopa doopa' amp. The AER 60.4 is King in my humble opinion. If not then keep following the trail ...........🤟

Nice demo Tommy. I never considered turning an amp towards the wall. I'll go try that as soon as I post this. I seriously don't think you would ever need to play in an Eagles cover band. The Eagles would let you into the band in a New York Minute.

Hey Patrick, Tommy talks about it a bit in this video, but the EQ is basically set flat at noon, the tone button is not engaged, the master and the gain are both riding pretty hot! Thanks for asking. Enjoy your new amp!

AG, On the bottom of my AER Compact 60 there is threading for a pole mount. Does the UDC 75 have anything on the bottom for mounting to a pole or speaker pole stand? Also, thank you for posting this TE review, very helpful. I am considering purchasing this amp, and if I do, I will buy it from you. Stay well and profitable during COVID.
@ArtisanGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Hey D, there isn't a threaded pole mount on the bottom of the Udo like there is on the AER. Still, they're absolutely stellar acoustic amps and we look forward to hearing from you!

Is Tommy using this if udo 75 Amp instead of his TE compact 60?
@aladinin2 жыл бұрын
I bet he is.. although discretely I would imagine as he has an AER model. From what I`ve seen, the Da Capo has an analog amp circuit making the sound/tone more natural and warmer than the AER. AER are nice, but more hi-fi sounding, where the Da Capo is more natural and warmer to my ears. Another thing is the Da Capo has a mid control on both channels, the AER has mid control only on 1st channel. Mid-range control is REALLY needed for live performance and with a Mic plugged into 2nd channel, a mid control would be essential me thinks

Thank you for sharing this. How you recorded the sound? Just DI out from amp, or you mix amp speaker sound with DI out as well? Any more material you have with Tommy? :)
@ArtisanGuitars4 жыл бұрын
We took a DI out from the amp, though the Rode mic (on the stand) is also picking up some slight "room" sound during the recording. Primarily what you are hearing is the DI out. More TE material?.. not just now, though he is a good friend of the shop and we love when Tommy comes to visit and plays some of our guitars!

Why does Tommy have the speaker turned towards the wall?
@HighscoreCreative2 жыл бұрын
I think he explains it on his chat with the captain on Anderton's. He doesn't like the amp facing directly at the audience as the sound is too harsh, by having it face the wall the sound can bounce off the wall and then hit the audience more evenly
