I remember O helga natt from last year by Tommy Körberg and how nice it was. So this year - Tommy is always really good, as we all know. It is enjoyable to hear hear your beautiful native language through Tommy. I agree that this is one of the most beautiful Christmas songs.

First time I ever heard this song in Swedish was the great Jussi Björling and Tommy definitely did this song justice. He has such an exquisite feel for the music, he knows precisely how much metal he can add to make the song even more interesting and not to overdo it. You say you did not hear Tommy sing in Swedish before, then you need to hear his version of Stad I Ljus he recorded years ago (who knows maybe he will re-record that one too?) Love the idea of a Christmas calendar, so many wonderful surprises today (and be sure to check out video he released today 😊)

This is my favourite version ever about O holy night. As a finnish I understand and speak some swedish. Language sounds soft to my ears compared to finlandssvenska that I speak or understand better. Tommy is powerful singer, in this he starts so softly. My reaction at the end was quite as yours when I heard this first time last Christmas 😄. Amazing Tommy. And how can someone have so beautiful smile?

O Helga Natt...the Swedish language is really beautiful! Tommy just made this song even more amazing! I watched this on another reactor's channel. It had the English translation on it. I was surprised & found it very interesting that the Swedish & English versions have different lyrics to Oh Holy Night. I even looked up the English version to see if there were verses I just didn't know. Nope. Then I realized even the chorus lyrics are different. I'm intrigued now to see if other Christmas classics are not the same in other languages. Seems like a rabbit hole that could be very deep & time consuming😮😂 Thanks for this wonderful reaction to one of my favorite Christmas songs!❤

Swedish is beautiful, and sometimes way too complicated haha XD Sweden has a tendency to change lyrics because sometimes the words and the way the words build, don't match the music or the tempo. So instead, we have to make changes in order for it to fit haha. Thank you!

Hi there David! And what a great idea for a Christmas calendar. That Majestica Christmas album has one of the greatest Christmas song ever. The Joy of Christmas. It is just magnificent. And O helga natt is a great one too. I still think it belongs to Jussi Björling. Tommy's version is a great, but i'd say the ending is something that i wish Tommy had done differently.
