Tommy: "The fact that the 3 key founding members are not with us.. Is profoundly sad!" Now we lost you Tommy last summer.. Even 100 times more sad! RIP Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee & now Tommy! Marky, Ritchie & C.J. keep the music going!!

I LOVE THE FACT THAT TOMMY WAS KIND ENOUGH TO THANK CJ AND RICHIE. THOSE TWO WERE IMPORTANT RAMONES MEMBERS ASWELL DESPITE THE UGLY THINGS MARKY ALWAYS SAY ABOUT THEM.

There was thousands of Punk Rock groups in the late 70s I was there to see it from the begining 7 bands a night while the Ramones hardly EVER played but hung around most times. I hung out at CBGB 77-82 The Band made themselves and took over the stage at CBGB PUNK ROCK SOUND CREATED ITSELF

Because it's a lifetime achievement award. I like CJ, but I don't think singing 6 songs in the 90s give you a spot next to the band's founder, or the guy who worked his ass off drumming with them for over 15 years.

richie played with em for 5 years , sang backups , wrote songs and changed the bands sound , making it more powerful ... c.j. did like 7 years , sang lead and backups , wrote songs and also brought more power to the sound ... not including their contributions is bullshit ... it's not like one of these deals where there's one original member , cashing in , doing the indian casino / county fair tours , with a bunch of nobody's standing in ... richie and c.j. made a difference

Great speech from Tommy, Marky was good either 🤩🎼🎸🍺🦋😍🐉🌺READ THE BOOK WRITTEN BY MICKEY LEIGH BY THE WAY. I will never recover from it but it explains an awful lot about the band. 😳📚🤓 Will buy the others too. Never get enough of this incredible band 😜

2:03 I love that Tommy Ramone himself thanks all the replacements Marky, Richie and CJ, especially in front of Marky who really discredits CJ and Richie nowadays and hails himself as the Last Ramone, it’s disrespectful and the whole who’s a Ramone thing is silly, they are all members of the band and contributed and apart of the legacy. Plus Tommy himself thanked all the members of the band arguably the person who created the Ramones and who without wouldn’t be a Ramones, it’s sad CJ and Richie don’t get this kind of achievement or credit from the awards and rnr hall of fame.
