In my opinion...this is the best sports documentary of all time. 1992 Dream Team is pretty awesome too.

Yeah I see it as a continuation of Bird and Magic story. Showing how many great basketball players we had during the 80s & early 90's.

Larry didn't have enough money. He saved for a whole year. Didn't have the clothes. He went through a lot. He still excelled.He went 33 and 0 his senior year before losing to Michigan state.Now that game when Magic did the hook shot mchale was playing with a broken foot and he said he couldn't go to his left and that was why he couldn't stop magic. There are so many reasons that a game is won or lost. It was awesome watch bird and Magic. Yes Larry did awesome as usual and trash talked too lol! Larry always rose to the occasion. You can watch a video called bird and magic dropping dimes at the Olympics

I have a video that Larry broke a finger in a bar fight rigjt before that game. He was hush hush about it.

Every player in the NBA owes an enormous debt of gratitude to these two men of class, integrity, competitiveness and love for the game. They built that Empire they're currently tearing down & it's sad. I have to agree with most people that say that this is the greatest documentary because it speaks to so much more than just hoops.
@whenisdinner21378 ай бұрын
HIV literally did not effect Magic whatsoever. He was literally 2nd in MVP voting behind Jordan while he still had the desease the year he retired, and he met the Bulls in the finals. He was only 32 and CLEARLY the 2nd best player in the world

About your comment about fixed games...sadly it looks like they don't even bother to hide it anymore. This was really noticeable starting around late 90's/early 2K

What they don't say about Larry after he is hurt with those Achilles and back surgeries he still was averaging almost a triple double. He is a floor general he could do whatever he wanted. He was versatile he could fill any plug in a team.
@pappajudas92675 ай бұрын
Bird was in crippling pain for half of his career and was still dominant. The only time he missed really was in 88/89 when he was out for surgery. Magic proved HIV wasn't a death sentence and that he was still one of the best in the world. Together they dominated the 80's saved the NBA and set the stage for every superstar that came after. They were some of the first big rookie contracts, earliest endorsement deals and if you can excuse Magic getting caught with his pants down or Larry's occasional bar fight, great role models on and off the court.

I think that photo is the dance between the prom king and the prom queen. I'm not sure they were necessarily together.
@mcm03248 ай бұрын
Why would you say what you said about this picture? IT WAS A PICTURE OF THE PROM KING AND QUEEN! The King was black, and the Queen was white. No one cared!!! They were the most popular kids in school - no matter their skin color. We didn't care about the color of someone's skin! Grow up and stop living in this woke culture. We were all friends, no matter our skin color.

Oh oh! Here I go again! When I was in Viet Nam, in one of the letters I received from my mother, she included a voter registration form because they were changing the voting age. As the song goes, "You're old enough to kill, but not for votin' ". A great song by Barry McGuire. Most of what he sang about is still happening today, "You can hate your neighbor, but don't forget to say Grace!"

Great story 😊 We had drive through bars when I was in high school. I think they should lower the drinking age to 18 because if you’re old enough to die for your country, you should be able to have a beer first. 🤷♀️ Birth control wasn’t available. Families had a lot of kids because of that.

Bird playing against rodman in regular season averaged 24.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.9 assists. in playoffs Bird averaged 20.9 points, 9.8 rebounds and 6.2 assists. rodman's stats against Bird regular season 10.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists, post season 6.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.7 assists guess that says it all. No wonder Rodman's jealous

I was 18 Years old and then they passed the Law that next year. And even though I was 18 Years old and my friend was 6 months younger than me and he wasn't able to buy it but I could. Because anyone who was already 18 Years old then I fell in the Grandfather Clause. If you're old enough to Fight and Die for your country then you should be able to drink when you're 18 as long as your responsible.
@leahmollytheblindcatnordee358619 күн бұрын
I agree, as long as you are responsible enough to not get drunk and drive. That's the reason they raised the drinking age in our state. Too many young people were killing themselves and others.

Look it up son, it’s called a zoonotic spillover. The SARS-CoV-2 evolved into COVID-19 and the most likely source of this is bats. Although they eat bats in China, there is no direct evidence of a leak from a lab; it’s already been declassified. The Wuhan virus is from bats 👍🏽
