Amazing!!!! Such an awesome magician. For those that claim to know the secret, let me quote the late Fred Kaps before you post your message and spoil the fun for everyone else: "I know that to play a violin I put the instrument to my face, press my fingers on the strings and strike it with a bow. Then music comes out. That's the secret to playing the violin, but it doesn't mean I can do it. You may know the secret to a trick, but it doesn't mean you can perform magic."

@@misguidedangel6550 Not true. You don't "strike the strings with the bow." I play the violin. Fred Bram Bongers Kaps does not. I also do magic. I can expose Bram Bongers's effects, any time I want. He can't do the same to my playing. Bongers is a loser.

Tommy is a wonderful polite charismatic magician/sleight of hand artist and who ever put a thumbs down has something wrong with them :) Superb sleight of hand skills.

The ring, watch and money trick is simply exceptional. It's almost a type of trick on it's own. Brilliant.

I saw him live in Bristol at a magic convention. he did the card trick in the box and then explained how to do it. Stunning performer, clearly one of the finest in the world, love his work

You said exactly what I wanted to! It was always said about Tomm that he never stopped thinking about magic, never stopped trying to improve his magic, and I think if you look at this performance and compare it with the performances on the L&L DVDs you can see that he definitly improved, which is amazing because a lot of people would be happy with what he does above.

The thing that you have to remember about those effects you mention wubs23, was that it was the L and L magic company audience. Those audience members are specially selected for their reactions so as to sell the magic DVDs and the explanations. They aren't forced to cheer but they are treated to free magic and fine wine and food all day so naturally the atmosphere is euphoric and designed to sell the DVDs.

Do u post this exact same comment on every single magic video? Why do u do that? Is it because you wanna sound "smart" to a bunch of random jerks on the internet?
@PreservationEnthusiast2 жыл бұрын
@@misguidedangel6550 Many people always think the L&L audiences are real. I'm schooling them that the audience has a vested interest in screaming "no way" or similar rave reactions. Of course they do, they wanted get invited back to the next session of free food and magic!

In this case I'd agree that the card to box was weaker than the other effects, only because he cut (I assume because of time) the ambitious card bit. The only motivation for signing the card is because it will appear in the box, and then it does immediately, so it seems easier to stumble upon the method than in the L&L videos.

Sometimes simple effects I enjoy more, it was how he did it, his style more. Plus its just my opinion. I see where ur coming from though. I liking doing more diverse and tech tricks but as far as watching i enjoy simple looking ones idk :)

The coin he gave her was actually a washer, silver and coin like on one side, copper on the other. That's why he kept his finger in to cover the hole. Then when she closed her fingers it turned it over so the copper side was uppermost. Quite easy to do!

>(card in the box) was not very strong. The method seem obvious perhaps even to a layman. Sure, yeah, right. If you check magician's groups, you will discover the handling is often sited as "perfect". Not merely good, PERFECT. Some magicians watch the video over and over to grasp his technique and delivery. You don't know what you're talking about.

Yes not as effective as in his L&L videos, the patter and presentation for the Ring-watch-money was far better in the L&L videos. Also the last trick (card in the box) was not very strong. The method seem obvious perhaps even to a layman.
