I herd the IC came through there long time ago my dad said in the 2000s he would see trains come through there I go past the crossing everyday

Yes long ago it was under ICG ownership, then SP, and then finally UP. I believe the last train came over this crossing somewhere around 2005 or 2007. Amtrak would occasionally detour down these tracks. BNSF ripped out the connection at Pequot at the beginning of 2008, thus rendering the line useless. Amtrak would still occasionally use the bottom end of the line at Mazonia as a one ended siding for meets up until I believe the end of 2008. I was fortunate to catch one of those moves reversing out of there back then. The closest this crossing got to action since then was in 2009 when they stored baretable cars just south of here, but since then I haven't seen anything come close to here.

TommyBNSF I saw that they put a UP logistics sign in braceville I actually had a talk with a guy that worked for UP and he said they are planning a facility and that they might connect bnsf to UP and they were going to put a intermodal facility along the lines of global 5
