Its timeless. This is a work of art by artists. "The greatest soccer player couldnt kick it like Finesse can." I got this on cassette a few weeks after it came out, I had it ordered from Coconuts and decades later Im listening to it on my phone on You tube. You tell me what modern or new rapper thats out now who will have a loyal fanbase like this. It blows me away, over 25 years and its still dope and skills, and metaphors, and verses are top shelf. A hit single can come out, for promotional purposes and videoplay on MTV and BET and even on some of the newer networks (of that time), Fox (although Fox had been around since 1986), and UPN which had just premiered in 1995, for promotion a year before the album comes out, no? And radio play of course, the year before the album comes out.
