hi Robbie most people leave there pots in all year round but they cant get out as much in winter cos of bad weather it usually picks up at the end of march right through till x mas there's no closed season but you cant land shellfish if there soft really, best prices are in winter tho and have been reaching £20 a kilo in winter we don't suffer from freezing up like you guys a lot of the lads run nets for Dover soles ect aswel.

how long is your season. my season runs from may 1 to june 30 after lobsters is over I fish oysters and Eels till freeze up
