That is exactly the inspiration that you need during a lockdown. I hope you bought a good one with a solid spruce or cedar top that keeps you inspired at a decent price, such as a Cort Earth, an Ibanez Artwood or a Seagull S6/ Simon & Patrick SP6 from the Canadian Godin group.

So crazy that a Tommy can put into music the adventure and emotion that Lewis and Clark must have felt, yet somehow it can still resonate with everyone. Absolutely beautiful.

What a master !...I had the great pleasure to see him live, some years ago, in Paris (Olympia) : he played a 20 min gig, as an impromptu substitute for Alvin Lee, who had passed away, some days before... He was so good, that the opening act killed the rest of the show ! No one can play after Tommy Emmanuel.

Haven’t ever played guitar but I have a love for music and this song right here. My god. It’s just filled with beauty. Not as complex as classical gas but arguably one of the best and most well written songs he’s played. This song fills me with every emotion. Brings memories of the past brings memories of nature and the mountains. It’s incredible. Words can’t describe the way he plays this song. His live one is better than the studio recording. It’s insane how he makes the sounds he makes.

Yes, the story of what Lewis and Clark experienced is remarkable to say the least. Music is subjective and I think this composition by Tommy is awesome. It truly captures a primitive feeling of sorts. I listen to it and vision myself being on the expedition floating down a river in a canoe with eyes wide open. What will I see around the next bend?? It's wonderful!

@@susanmcrill-stefanowski7852 Started playing at 16 (1964), most likely because of the Beatles. Wanted to play the bass but somehow was deflected to guitar. Played mainly R&R and Blues, garage band and clubs. Stopped during medical school and building a family. Picked it up again at the urging of a friend in the late '90s, primarily playing Strats but I was the guy called on to play the acoustic sets, play jazz chords and Travis pick. During Covid, I got the stupid idea to learn fingerstyle and have NO ability to have an independent thumb. I am cursed.

fab guitar player, great music but that guitar tone is just horrible. don’t know if its the guitar, pick up or what. sounds like a mix of balloons and hoovers and god knows what, doesn’t even sound like an acoustic half the time. strange tone to choose for such a great player, each to there own though.
