The loneliest time of my life was when my parents and I moved to France. I was never happy and I never felt accepted no matter what I did. I still don't feel fully accepted since I am American not French, and that's how I'm recognized by my French friends, but I'm happy now. I also do a lot of stuff alone now since I enjoy it more, but I don't feel lonely.

Man like him and a man like me, don't mind if we had a talk you know? I legit feel like I could talk 3 straight hours with Tommy irl. So many times I have thought like I just want to react with him. I think part of it is to recognise which types of social interaction work for you and which ones don't. That way you can have the interaction you need and avoid loneliness without having to engage often in ways that you really hate. (e.g. Chose to go to a club or society in person when they're meeting in smaller groups, or meet friends or family at their houses or at cafes/pubs etc rather than feel obliged to go to huge parties if they aren't your thing.) Some people love big gatherings and drifting around talking to people they don't know, others love talking in smaller groups where you can actually hear each other and have a laugh, or talk about something deep and then have a laugh afterwards. Think about what you like and why, don't force yourself too hard to be someone you aren't - and just be comfortable either being someone who likes big groups or small groups and go with the flow. That way you'll be more relaxed and more yourself and you'll enjoy the social interaction, people will get to know you and like you for being you, and you'll want to socialise with them more often because you're more in control of the environments where these interactions occur.

i have learn this from experience, i think that the best way to exit loneliness is by pushing your self out, and that means making the step: if you feel lonely and you do know someone even just a school mate or coworker just reach out and text them asking maybe to go out, but the important thing to learn is accepting that they might say no, and when it happen just try another time, and try to not put your self down
@aleksandarmanojlovic49883 жыл бұрын
I became lonely during first months of pandemic, my parents didn't let me meet anyone but my best friend. It somehow built in me and lost a need to meet other friends. After some time I realized that I am lonely but I felt like it would be akward to meet someone. I also finished primary school and I felt like I distanced too much from my old friends. When the situation in my country became alright I decided to rebrand myself and called my old good friend and I met his friends and I felt happy. It was hard to break some form of barrier around me but I feel like it is still around with me and is making me want to be alone.

i always feel ashamed for feeling lonely because i think im actually the one self-sustaining my own loneliness by comparing my social life with other people every time i see 2 people hanging out. its difficult to even walk in the mall because i see people hanging around in starbucks or whatever, just chilling having a coffee and talking. i moved to a city a few months ago and i had my first visitor after over 5 months, but i also havent invited a lot of people over. i know that but my brain instantly goes to "no one actually wants to be around me" and its a really difficult thought to overcome and open up about.

I really wondered if I'm lonely or alone. I just left school and could have gone to my friends but I didn't to stay listening to music and watching all the other people interaction. I've never really felt lonely because I have my family and great friends, yet I don't know if I've become more defensive when meeting new people because of my latest relationship. It hit me pretty bad and it's been almost 2 years now but I still get the vibes when meeting somebody else, like I'm not very much receptive to actually make a conversation. Anyway, should reflect more on that

My problem with Twitch reactions is they often devolve into "X streamer reacts to Twitch chat while video plays in the background", instead of being focused on the actual content of the video. I know it's a balancing act, but I think parts of the video are being ignored while chat talk takes over. At least it's good chat talk here, instead of "Oh xXSpicyburritoXx, you are eating a sandwich and going to sleep? Fascinating! Good night!".
