Grand Battleplan is such an underrated doctrine and the max planning you can get with the new German tree makes it even stronger. Btw it's not really infantry only (at least not the left path). It's just that making many tank divisions will not pay off as well as making two or three 45w tank divisions which have high breakthrough value and need nothing else. GBP gives you 20% breakthrough on the entire army and in addition to that there's planning, so tanks are only really useful for breaking stalemates and then your fast infantry will do the rest of the job.

Funnily enough the one of fastest ways to reduce autonomy is to lend lease convoys, it gives a major amount of -autonomy and it's dirt cheap to make and you'll get them back anyways.

That artillery advisor is not really worth it. IIRC from other creators analysis, it does nothing for support arty and for line arty it kinda works by how much of line arty is in the division. So in 9/1 you get only 1/10th of the original bonus. So unless you would roll something like 7/2 or 7/3 and superior firepower left that bonus doesn't do much.
