Mr. Cereal most ships half-produced are things like destroyer or sub 1 that are just gonna get rekt instantly anyway, you could maybe keep the battleships but they’re far from finished and expensive af so you’re better off just deleting everything

I mean either way you can focus convoys after pumping out the shitty cannon fodder destroyers and subs so i really dont get it.

Mr. Cereal I guess it depends, as Italy in multiplayer your navy will most likely always be inferior to Britain’s and you’ll never really catch up with the number, so if you really want to be "meta", you have no reason to waste civs on trade for like chromium or steel, even more so when your pre-war trash is gonna get 1 shot. In every of my games as Italy, you lose your 60-ish destroyers and screens almost instantly if you don’t have air superiority + naval bombers, so if your navy’s gonna lose against every other major but is good enough to beat every minor, those extra targets make no difference imo. If you are playing Britain, Japan or the US, you have the dockyards to pump out lots of better destroyers and subs before things start getting serious (+ italy starts without destroyer 2 researched, so you’re losing time if you research it). And finally, even playing against AI I’ve felt the nooby pain as Japan, of having my whole army dying of hunger because of US convoy raiding, with destroyer 1 not catching anything and my convoys being sunk by the hundreds
