Hi Paul, great video. You made an awesome job on copying the wagon, and great to know how to isolate the wheels..🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃👍👌

Hi Windy, I would never have thought of making the covers if I had not bought the Marklin wagon. I hope my method of isolating the wheel helps others, its easy to do and worksd well. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hello, Paul! Very good looking train with cover up, you hand made stuff looks as better as the original Maerklin one! Very valuable way to isolate those AC axles, thanks a bunch! I have a couple of freight wagons from Maerklin that need this "surgery" with shrinking tube (I did it at a wagon using ordinary plastic straw, but I guess it would be much better with shrinking tube). Thanks for the video, have a great evening!

Hi Chris, I enjoyed making these covers it was a change from working on Locos. Use 1mm internal size heatshrink and push it on the axle its quite tight but does go on, I dont use any heat to shrink it after. I used this system on my Maerklin AC to DC Loco conversion some time ago. I hope this helps to isolate your wheels. Have a great week. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Paul that is so clever matey!I wonder what they carried under those sheets motor vehicle parts maybe? Made me think of how the old boys used to rope and cover their loads on the back of lorries years ago, before the curtain siders came in.

Hi Michael, I enjoyed making these covers, something to get me thinking and a change from Loco restos. I was thinking what loads they would protect, bags of Beans maybe?. I did a lot of sheeting and roping during my driving days on the Cement its no fun when its windy and raining. All lthe best, Paul.👍👍🙏

@@paulvozman842 Hey guess what Paul I may have some German locos and rolling stock heading my way,my friends father is sadly Ill and they are dismantling his model railway.

@@MichaelDavies-pg8td Hi Michael, I always think its sad when someone builds up a model railway then due to ill health has to pass it on. Its good you may be given these Locos and rolling stock and be able to continue running them on your layout. I hope my Youngest Grandaughters future husband will take over some of my layout and stock as he is a keen modeller. My Nephew will also inherit the largest portion of my Locos and Wagons as he has completed 50% of his layout. I hope you can show the German Locos and stock you get there must be some very interesting items. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏

@@paulvozman842 Hi Paul yes it is sad my mate is absolutely gutted and was distraught about it all.His Father worked on the railways back in the day,and he and his son built the model railway. But due to old age he is in his 90s now,he is forgetting about a lot of things. Is there anyway I can send you a picture or short video of what I get Paul ? Cheers,Michael.

Hullo Reney, Aj aolwees toght yu waire covarin somezing up in yar café 😁 Great project, must have been quite a job to make these covers. The original Märklin is quite an iconic model, I remember it seeing in the catalogue lots of times, so it must have been in production quite some time. But indeed, to find an immaculate copy is not easy. Hub a niece ovening! Choars! Orik!
