Hi Paul, that's a fantastic runner now! I must say, I do like the old Lima system, I like their noise (at least in my diesels 😊) but of course the way you can now start and stop that engine is amazing! Cheers 🙋‍♂️ Erik

Hi Erik, this is my oldest Hornby Diesel purchase wise and has never run that well untill now. Fitting two CD Motors intead of the Hornby Ringfields has greatly improved the slow performance. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Paul that’s one thing I don’t own a Hornby class 37. I love the sound of my Lima motors,they don’t run as good as that,but they are ok when they are warmed up. Funnily enough I gave my Bachmann 37 a trip out on Saturday,I hadn’t run it for months but that can pull a lot of stuff 😃👍🚂

Hi Michael, my Hornby 37 is finally running well. I am currently going through all my OO Gauge Lima Diesels to improve their couplings and gears. They now all have 12v CD Motors which has improved them a lot. I have a Bachmann DCC 37 that is quite heavy and can really pull well it gets a run once a year if its lucky. Hi Paul, that is a very good result mate. Very good performance at the lower speed, especially since it is hauling a rake of coaches. Sometimes I don't mind the sound of the gears working, as it is a diesel after all. Steven.

Hi Steven, Fitting two 12v CD Motors and some new gears really transformed how this old Hornby runs. It uses hardly any volts to get running even when pulling a rake of Coaches. It can finally run around the layout from time to time. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
