Hi Windy, I had to miss some Ice Creams to pay for the Locos to run but it was worth it.👍👍🙏

Hi Paul, that is an outstanding display of locomotive history by the Germans. I really like the look of the Crocodile, they kind of remind me of the Beyer Peacock. The wartime camouflage paintwork looks quite effective too. Steven.

Hi Steven, I have the Fleischmann DB52 with the crew tender as shown in the video, they were a wartime production and were a simplified DB50 which is hard to spot the difference. The Crocodiles have an unusual drive train but are awesome Locos. This was my fourth visit to these museums and I decided to make most of the videos featuring the Steam Locos that I missed before. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

Awesome, Paul... so very cool, especially the class 50!!!
@paulvozman8422 ай бұрын
Hi Anthony, Considering the Class 50 was a simplified Class 52 when produced during the war its hard to see what was simplified. These are awesome Locos and great to see some of them have been motorised to show the motions working. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

Nice to see the locomotives there. Sadly they sometimes don't take it too precise with the historically correct presentation or information on the info sheets. The 52 in camouflage could never have run this way in the war and with the cab tender, the cab was a later post war addition by the Austrian Railways ÖBB which owned this and the locomotive that donated the tender after the war, the original tender of this locomotive was swapped with the cab tender on display from 52 4867 in 1985 before this locomotive came to the museum. The green locomotive 18 314 isn't a S3/6, it's a Badische IVh, and this one was heavily reconstructed by the Deutsche Reichsbahn which got the locomotive by swapping it for 18 434, which was a Bayerische S 3/6 with the west German Bundesbahn. It's a rather unique piece as there was only one IVh rebuilt like this. The D600 locomotive got some wrong info on the sheet, it never operated for the DB but was an industrial locomotive operated by the Saarbergwerke coal mining company as no 24. it did also end operation in 1977 like 043 196 was the last operational steam locomotive of the DB. Both the electrics are Crocodiles, the first you show is the Swiss Ce 6/8 and the second the very similar looking Austrian Rh 1089. The class 50 also has the tender cab, but this is the variant attached by the Deutsche Bundesbahn, and only some of the class 50 had these cabs fitted by the DB. When you see a 52 with tender cabs then these were Austrian, the tenders were the so called Wannentender (Bath tub tenders) The museum is absolutely worth a visit as they have far more than just these locomotives.

Hi Tom, you obviously know the history of these Steam Locos very well. Many thanks for correcting the information that was on the Data boards. I have visited these museums 4 times now and have always found something new each time. All the best, Paul.👍

Hi, Paul! Awesome machines in the video, probably even more impressive giants when you see them there.... Thank you very much for the video! Nice evening! / Chris PS - Those white circles marking bullet holes in the BR-44's tender are probably "scars" from an Allied fighter... ?
@paulvozman8422 ай бұрын
Hi Chris, your right these are awesome machines and are huge when standing next to them. I saw the white circles and thought the same as you but there is no info on them to confirm that. Thanks again for supporting my channel and the great comments. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
