Song of the Week 2019 - #7 - "The Word"

We live in a culture that exalts human thoughts, ideas, and opinions. But the solid, authoritative, unchanging truth answering the great questions of life (and our hearts) is and always will be found in the best selling Book of all time, the Bible. At the heart of TWM is a love for songs that are written from the Bible. (As an 11 year old, I wrote my first song from Hebrews 11:6 “without faith it is impossible to please God.”) For centuries the Church has been reciting and singing Scripture! This song is a joyful, unashamed declaration and celebration of God’s Word. In this video we recite it, sing it, and worship God by boldly believing and proclaiming His Truth.
Very special thanks to my sons Jake and Levi Walker for so passionately reading the many scriptures. I am so proud of your love for God and His Word! And special thanks to Bob Wilson for his amazing horn arrangement and to Knox Summerour [trumpet] and Mike Bagasao [sax] for blessing this project with their amazing gifts!

The "Song of the Week 2019" campaign is a new song, released every week for the majority of 2019. The motto for this project is, “Share a Song, Share your Faith.” It's our prayer that these songs will be a resource for the Church and a way for individuals to share their hope in Jesus.
