Nothing so soothing as to listen to the smooth voice of Jim Reeves. Jim Ed Brown has a similar soothing voice and his tribute to Jim Reeves is wonderful :)

Lovely 1969 tribute to JIm Reeves by Jim Ed Brown. Mary was a lovely lady . Her devotion to Jims' memory kept his star shining long after his sad death in 1964. It was so sad what happened to her in later life, battling Altzheimer's and ending up in a nursing home, but now her wish to be buried with Jim is fulfilled. God bless Jim Reeves, Mary, Leo Jackson and Jim Ed Brown

Absolutely the best tribute you could ever make to one of the "Greatest "singers in all of music history. Jim was unique and special and will be missed by true song lovers everythere. Jim Ed does an excellent job of resinging these songs. Jim Ed. will also be missed when his time comes. Thank you to Jim Ed. for doing this and to Tom Orie for sharing this. I do catch Jim on X-M sometimes on Sundays and every broadcast is special. The Browns were also a fantastic group/family and love all their songs.

Mary Reeves nee White played a huge role in building Jim Reeves country music career before his death in 1964. She was the hand behind the resurgence of his chart topping hits after his death.

Yesterday, (July 31, 2023) was the 59th anniversary of Jim's sad passing. I trawled through hundreds of radio stations on my Internet radio unit (both here in the UK and the US) and on TV and did not find any tributes. An artist of Jim's calibre to be forgotten in this way is disgusting. I just hope that next year, the 60th anniversary, is more fruitful.

there is so much confusion on the exact year of Jim's birth. Some sources 1923 and some 1924. I think the grave-marker says 1924?@@rubendon2241

I JUST WISH THAT I POSSESSED JIM ED BROWN'S MAGNIFICENT SPEAKING VOICE! (I'M GLAD THAT THEY DIDN'T DELVE INTO WHAT THE "DING DONG" WAS THAT THE SUBJECT OF THE SONG WAS BEATING ON ALL DAY LONG!🤔😩😫😖🙈🥵) UNFORTUNATELY, JAMES EDWARD BROWN PASSED AWAY FROM LUNG CANCER AT THE AGE OF 81.😿
