The deep-voiced narrator at the beginning is the great Norman Rose, best remembered for National Lampoon's "Deteriorata"

I knew Dan Seibold. Great guy. He gave me a digital copy of his master of Tomorrow Radio. He said he was part of the production. He also gave me (I hope I'm correct on the title. Pulling it from memory) 'Last Dance'. I don't see his name in the list above so I thought I would ask. Radio was a big part of my life and none of the humor got past me! :)

I remember this from my days at CFNI in Port Hardy BC... good times. EVERY radio guy wanted Norman Rose's voice.

I heard this in the Production room at 50,000 watt radio station KVOO in Tulsa when I was 15 years old and a member of the KVOO Explorer Scouts in 1977. I made a copy and used parts of it to get a an "A" in a High School Instructional Media class. 1983 seemed like 100 years away in 1977!! I started at cross town rival 50,000 watt KRMG in May 1978. When we moved studios in 1982 I was in one of our two brand new production rooms admiring our new turntables and our Chief Engineer telling me "in just a few years we will have digital record players!" I remember imagining playing the needle down on a lp and a red blazer beam shooting down the tone arm. First song I heard on a CD? Danger Zone from

It was actually released in the summer of 1977. A jingle demo for a package called "The Winning Score" is on the flipside.

Along a similar line, there was an interstitial show that was played on a Los Angeles rock station (KMET? I wish I could remember) circa 1969 called "The 21st Century." The theme song, of course, was the opening of Thus Spake Zarathustra. It offered, as might suppose, looks at life in the far-flung world of 2001! Anybody have any info on this show? Recordings, production info, etc?

And there was a follow-up done while I worked there, around 1982ish but I forgot the name of it and can't find it anywhere. It made fun of the fact that Roy Disney had purchased the company under Shamrock Broadcasting..."A pox on you all...a pox on you all!"

I have been looking for that as well. Did it have the ad about the John Hancock tower suicide spot?

@@BrettHoustonTube OH my gawd I just saw your post. Lol. Not on that cut as far as I remember. But then it was over 40 years ago. I still have a cassette copy somewhere around. It was never pressed to vinyl. All I remember is it was a hat-tip to the Roy Disney family as they had just bought the company and merged it under their short-lived Shamrock Broadcasting umbrella, which failed miserably!

I wonder how many of you absolutely disregarded the dire warnings, and played "I want to whip your cow"? I did. Caught heck from the manager, but the phones rang off the hook with approval.

2 hours of audio on a punch card. Elton John being too old in 1983. How times have changed --- kids nowadays still revel in 70's and 80's music and most artists from then are still touring. I remember listening to this in 1985 in our production room at KVFM in Logan, UT. Thanks for posting!

The great Tony Richland shines in this as the boss jock, Billy on the air. ASounds like a different person did the off air Billy Tony was an independent promotion man and was responsible for making one of Mike Nesmith's songs a hit.
