How can anyone hate on Monika, shes an absolute legend. She reads the crowd like an open book, shes capable to play 8 hour sets of dark techno in Berghain or a perfect tech house techno blend for a mainstream festival. Not many djs have such variety and knowledge. Monika, we love you!

Listen up everyone: when you start to listen to electronic music, you (probably) are gonna start with EDM, since that is what they play on the radio. But after a while, be it a year or a few years, you'll be looking for more, for something else, for more (what I call) 'advanced electronic music'. So the people who now fancy David Guetta, Garrix, etc. will one day - believe me - start listening to Seth Troxler, Carl Cox and Monika Kruse. It's just a path that everyone needs to walk, and if EDM opens the path for the 'better electronic music', there's nothing wrong with that. Look maybe this is sounding repetative and all the same but belive me its not. I was big fan of edm like 1 year ago i was even a edm producer. And i was talking shitt about techno and tech-house too i was wondering how the fuckk are people even listening to this shitt what are they hearing in this music. But then (i thank god for that every day ) exidently finished on a techno rave. That changed mine point of view on this music. That day i concluded that this music isnt made for listening at your pc your shitty speakrs your phone etc its made for live performance. Because listening to this set, this type of music at home makes you to hear only 20 % of the song. You cant hear things that people are loving in this music unless you hear it live in some badass club where checky bass will blow up your mind. SO belive me you will love EDM and listen to it until you finish at one TECHNO rave and belive me that will change your point of view on music.

But belive me this music isnt like this like you hear it on your pc whatever. If you ever finish on a party with techno music u will know what im talking about. You cant expirience this until you hear it live this music is made for live performance. In EDM the things that are attractive to you are above 300 Hz those are mid-high frequencies. All those synths melodies etc that makes you love EDM. But in techno magic happens below 200 Hz. Magic happens in BASS and you can only expirence it live, until you do that you will not ever like this music.

EDM is a genre created to get the Americans listening to it. Ironic since house music started in a American. Dance music is electronic. There is no dance music that isnt electronic. So Dance music as a description, is sufficient. Techno which originates in Germany as does Monica Kruse and that is what she is playing. No need to rebrand it for the americans. +Paul Gorman Lol people who say they don't get this music are trapped inside the conventional concept of a song and an artist. You either feel the techno come alive or you don't. It took me time to adapt when I was younger. My buddy used to play all kinds of rave music hours on end. Pretty soon I started craving it like a drug.
