I stayed after Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike for Above and Beyond without no expectations, because - to be honest - I only had discovered "Northern Soul" due to a spotify playlist until that point... and what can I say: Me and my friends were absolutely blown away by the whole set! It was magical, deep, dreamy but also big, loud and epic at the same time. I saw people crying and simultaneously smiling while holding their hands high up in the sky. Above and Beyond simply showed the beauty of eletronic music in every possible way within the set. Those few people that stayed after the big-name acts before them or at least stopped wandering off when they heard the first songs - I saw a lot - witnessed a piece of art around midnight at this mainstage, which maybe 90% of them would have never expected to happen - including me. So I just wanna say thank you to those two incredible and passionate DJs and the TL-organisation for giving them that closing-spot on the mainstage despite of their relatively low fame and their unusual genre for that stage. It was a hour of pure love for music! Above and Beyond, you gained a lot of fans at this night - that's for sure - and you deserve every one of it. See you next year :)

A&B has been in the industry for a while and has a committed fan base around the world. Furthermore they have they own channel and community.. Their fan base are positive, experience mature listener. They usually play their own music not commercialized like Tiesto or Steve Aoaki. These are characteristic of the Real Player which is a big plus for LONGEVITY in the industry. Tomorrowland this year has 2 positive changes that would make them Unbeatable: 1. Economy of Scale 2. Ability to be a Trend Setter of EDM around the world. As a no 1 (not just EDM) festival in the word they finally play 2 weekends (I know they used to do that but not as profitable compare to this year). I mean why not!! The productions are to enormous to do one weekend so it's a smart things to just hire a few more DJs and also the same DJs for less cost I suppose for doubling the crowd which means more money. For the Trendsetter case, I believe one of the main reason they put not just EDM type DJs on the Main Stage but Techno and Hardstyle like Carl Cox, Solumun, and Coone are introduced as well. As they grow this big they can MANIPULATE their audiences. It's like telling them that there are good varieties in the Dance music not just mainstream EDM. There are more varieties in small stages so basically there's everything for everyone. This is also an effective way to Educate young audiences and open their mind. These value added would pave the strong path for their Legacy.

dantel088 I appreciate your point and agree about underground stage but still the majority of audiences are young crowd. This is the reason that Tomorrowland starts to put Techno and Hardstyle on the main stage to expand their young audiences' taste (lol). I believe next year there will be more youngsters in underground, techno, and hardstyle stages as well as older ravers since there are a lot more than just mainstream EDM.
