On my tenth birthday my dad sat me down and said “I can’t do this anymore. It’s not you it’s your mom. She’s driving me insane. And I can’t stay here. I hate to do this on your birthday but that’s life. I’m sorry. Just please don’t tell your mom.” He then stood up and grabbed his bags and left I told my mom and broke down into tears. After that I’ve hated my birthday every single year. And I’ve cried on my birthday every year because I just can’t forget it.

The guy in grey didn't even know that pain was still there. It took him by suprise... And Will I Am is an empath.... His tuning into the emotion and saying the right words was nice to watch. It makes sense why he seems shielded somewhat .. You have to be when you can tune in like that. He felt that emotion like it was his own. He clocked every detail. Lol.. So did I... I hope that boy does go back... No telling what will happen.. With the connection he made.

As much as I feel bad for him, it's about the voice. He is only 11 and has a lot still to learn. This kid has serious potential and I'm sure upon returning they would turn. This was also quite a difficult song and nobody can sing it like Kelly Clarkson. They judge specifically on voice, not age, place in life, or emotional needs.

Yes you're one of the lucky ones and if the parent or parents only knew how it affects the child or children then maybe they would have a heart and show love. God Bless everyone that is reading this message and God Bless all the children that comes from broken homes, it's so heartbreaking and it makes you stronger but the child or children shouldn't blame themselves because their is no excuse in this world for a parent not to be a part of they're children's lives. They don't know what they're missing and the love that the children need. It's heartbreaking and God Bless all and God Bless this young man with amazing talent and the courage because he said that it helped him this song and i hope that all children of all ages find peace in they're hearts because children is the best gift that God could ever give someone and that's the truth. God Bless all.

@@jhundarryll1566 Thank you for you're kind words and you're very correct. It's a void that makes a part of you feel empty and i don't wanna say it's something you ever get used to, you just learn to live with in and in some cases something's are better left alone, it all depends on the situation because everyone's situation is different. I appreciate you're kind words though, that was very thoughtful and God Bless you as well and best wishes to you and you're family as well and my prayers are with you as i pray for everyone. I've always a had a soft spot for kids and even though they're not mine all the broken kids in the world, if i had the means I'd love to adopt every single one of them because every child deserves to feel loved and to hear those words. They need to have guidance and a mentor and i do my best to work with children like that because I've always had a soft spot for them. Everyone deserves to feel loved and wanted and as a child they don't understand why and want answers and the best thing you can do is just give them guidance and love and it makes me feel good to be able to do that as often as i can. I know how they feel even though I'm grown and all and in my case i was sent to a church family and was separated from my siblings, i have a brother and sister in different counties. But that wasn't a good book to open it never was. I learned responsibility and grew up at a very young age and i know things happen for a reason and it's reached the point were i don't even want answers anymore because i refuse to let it ruin my life. I'm happy and that's all that matters and sorry i keep on babbling on. But that comment made me feel good and i appreciate it very much. Best wishes and all the happiness in the world to you and God Bless you as well and i will keep you in my prayers as i do everyone . It's just not in my nature to be a mean person, and no matter how or what some people say on you tube and I'm sure you've seen some adults that actually like children and i had one man call me basically every name in the book and he knows nothing about me and I'm not a judgemental person at all, i guess some people it was on a different page doesn't like you're opinion when it comes to religion and the comment wasn't directed at him in anyway and he just basically sounded like a very miserable soul , but i don't stoop to his level and i pray for people like that. In no way shape or form do i push religion upon anyone because everyone has different beliefs and i don't comment all the time , but this young man really touched my heart in the video. For being 11 years old and to have the courage to get up there in front of so many people showed how strong he was and music to some people is away to help them cope and i can relate to that to , because i absolutely love a variety of music, it soothes the soul in my case anyways. I guess when Kelly wrote that song they get the ideas i believe because of they're past I'm assuming. But I'm sorry this turned into a mini book i apologize. I wish you all the happiness in the world and God Bless you and your family. Thanks again that comment really made me feel good and i appreciate that.

@MrzRatchet I don't really have to imagine it, I am an adult and a mother, which is why it's so... for lack of a better word, heartbreaking. :/ children are supposed to be carefree and have fun and play so to hear them truly heartbroken is so unnatural, you're so right though it does blow a hole in your heart
@hleebeg
@hleebeg 4 жыл бұрын
@MrzRatchet although I can tell you that it's never the childs fault and whether they have grown up with one parent or two or none they are worth the same. Most of the time parents leave when they think they aren't good enough and know that no apology or explanation would be enough, I don't know what happened in your case but I want you to know, you are enough and that there's nothing wrong with you. I don't know if this helps but realising those things helped me. You are worthy of all the good things the world has to offer and anyone who abandoned you or let you down isn't worthy of you. Sorry if this is just cheesy, annoying and/or upsetting

@MrzRatchet I'm so sorry, nobody deserves to be treated that way, especially by someone who is supposed to protect and nurture you. Actually animal abandon offspring all the time. Disable or handicapped offspring get killed all the time, they give less fucks than humans do about giving them a fighting chance. Elephants will stomp their newborns to death is rejected by the mother. Some just get left behind because they can't keep up. Some get eaten by the family. You don't know about the animal kingdom

I wouldn't trade mine for anything in this world no matter how old they maybe. I knew about him and thankfully I had a wonderful dad growing up. But still I always imagined, on my birthday, if this was the year I’d get a card, a letter, something. Anything. Most of my life he lived a few miles away from me and never cared to find out anything about me. My own grandparents (half brother and other members of my blood family) went to my church and ignored me for YEARS. It was so hard. He has apologized but not without pulling teeth. I’m 34 now and the pain is still raw, to this day. One will never get over it but we can use it to build us up stronger. So not let this defeat you. Keep striving!

Wow I've never cried this much, not even when my dad left at 13 and never came back to this day (he was found by his mother my nan but his words were, and I don't want the money(nan was loaded) I don't want to know anyone I just want to be left alone. My mum at the time took it all out on me, I was my dad's favourite n for some reason I got it in the neck big time, she hated me. So not only did my dad leave n never see me n my two sisters, my mum became evil and was very cruel to me. I remember she broke down crying and I went to comfort her she screamed get away from me, go get Cynthia (her best mate) so I ran and got her. I'm not close to my family now just my little sister cus I basically raised her and we sing the song 'sister' from the color purple when we're down n five mins later were laughing n joking so to you Karen for being by my side always. I love you so much baby sister ♥️♥️♥️

Absolutely and if i was in the audience i would have given that young man a huge. He had a beautiful voice and had so much courage. I can relate to him and i hope he knows and every child out there that comes from a broken home knows that you're loved and that you're important. God Bless this young man and his family and every child that comes from a broken home or any home. Children should always come first because the greatest gift in this world that God can give us is children. They will always be #1 in my eyes. God Bless all.

Just like Kelly Clarkson’s dad they always came back when you doing good in life, all depends if you are weak enough to let them in because they will always hurt you again. I didn’t but my brother did and makes me mad seeing how he uses my brother just because he knows the void he left on him can control him, but I know he will pay for all someday.

In a heartbeat. He has a great voice. Some notes are not at his reach just yet. But his voice will grow and definitely some voice work will teach him how to breathe and deliver each note with more control. I hope he carries on I really liked his audition.

In my honest opinion, my special son's father did him a favor when he told the judge he didn't want over nights or visitations. Selfish. I thank God for my boyfriend every day. He's never had kids, but he has a beautiful bond with my son, who is 4 and nonverbal, and they act like father and son. There is unmistakable unconditional love, and if the day ever comes around that the other guy changes his mind and wants to be back in his life, I don't think I'd be comfortable with it. (EDIT) Wow, I got to 100 likes!! Thanks, guys. Sometimes I wonder if I should try harder to have his father in his life, these 100 hundred people who agree with me means a lot. The 100 people on my side makes me think that I'm kinda doing okay. The real person deserving all these thumbs up is my love, my rock, my support... my son's "da". Can this amazing MAN please get 100 more likes?

@@aliyah7869 yes, I really do! Right now his mom is having non-covid related health complications, he's been bouncing back and forth, I think it's starting to take a toll on him. He's also recently had a hernia repair surgery, he's not everywhere he wants to be at the moment, but he's everywhere he needs to be. We all love him and are hoping for quick recovery for both him and his dear mother.

He has a decent voice, and I'm sure nerves played a part, but he simply didn't have that 'edge'. If he's not already having vocal coaching then he ought to consider it so that if he chooses to return next year he'll be better equiped. He's 11, it's not as if he's in the 'last chance' camp. And at least he wasn't put through because of his 'back story'.

My parents got divorced when I was 5 years old and my dad moved away to a different state. For a whole year, my dad wouldn’t visit, call, return calls, or even letters. It hurt me, I cried almost every day for that year, so much my mom had to get me a counselor. After, all that time my mom was finally able to contact him at his job and tell him everything. He then had me come and stay with him for the whole summer, and apologized almost every day. For the next 15 years, I would spend every summer and winter with him, getting closer and closer again. We now talk almost everyday! I had completely buried this memory of him leaving me 15 years ago, until I saw this video today. It took me back to my roughest time in life and now later on today, it’s time I finally ask him why he left without saying anything. 🙃
