Hell yeah!!! Glad you enjoyed the song! The sonic franchise has always been known for having great music in its games (even if the games themselves are bad). And yes, these are real instruments, they used a 9 string guitar for the 4 metal songs in this game. They even preform the song live on the sonic symphony tour! And the singer in this song is Kellin Quinn (both male and female voices you heard), his voice is fantastic. Im glad you enjoyed the songs, and hope you enjoy the next 2 that i recommend from the game 😁

Also, another thing, the digital sound they use to enhance to music a little. It might be a coincidence, but the main thing about the game is something called "Cyberspace," a "digital" world in the game. Sonic progressively gets more and more digitally affected as the game continues on. So that's something to possibly consider.

This is such a hype song, makes you feel like you can run without rest and break through brick walls like they were made of paper. Also, like mentioned below, it's one singer (Kellin Quinn) only and his range is incredible. He also plays keyboard

The entire soundtrack is crazy. The area themes are 30+ minute-long creepy fucking haunting-ass orchestral music, each with seven entire movements, one for each Chaos Emerald. Tomoya Ohtani goes hard as FUCK All for a mouse wearing sneakers

This whole soundtrack is really solid. I recognized Kellin Quinn’s vocals when this song started playing in-game and I was freaking out whilst also trying to contain myself in order to fight the boss lol, he sounds SO good. Haven’t listened to Sleeping with Sirens for years, but his vocals always hit. In the playlist without shame.

Oh my gosh, I was excited to see this pop up, I hadn't expected you to get thrown a Sonic OST song haah. Sonic Frontiers and Sonic Forces (which came before) both kinda messed with the OST in new ways, incorporating some lyrical tracks that I replay over and over to this day. And Frontiers specifically has 3 songs, Undefeatable included, that include Kellin Quinn's vocals and are in this vein. They're utilized during big cinematic boss battles when Sonic uses his super form, and they're incredibly exciting -- if you're into 3D Sonic nonsense like I am anyway :) If you're curious about the other two Frontier tracks, they're Break Through It All and Find Your Flame. I'm Here, Vandalize and One Way Dream are three other lyrical tracks off the OST but are different vocalists / slightly different vibes. (Though I think Vandalized is pre-existing and just was featured in the game) Anyway! Thank you for the reaction and I'm soooo glad you like the song! It's been a favorite of mine since the game came out, and I was overly excited to see the kinda genre I'm usually all over in a game series I've loved so much since I was a kid. The music is usually one of the biggest highlights of the series to be honest with how much they'll branch out and experiment.

The thing about Sonic games is that their gameplay styles change depending on the game and whether they're 2D or 3D, so if you weren't a fan of one game then chances are you might be a fan of another one, with Frontiers being released in 2022 (critics were mixed, fans were more positive). That aside one thing they all have in common are really good OSTs, even for games that are considered mediocre such as Sonic 06 and Sonic Forces (both rushed). While I technically started with Sonic 2s multiplayer mode the earliest I remember starting with was Heroes, which I think is a good starting point if you're unfamiliar with how the series plays as it has both a good tutorial and first two stages (lore wise it does take place after Sonic Adventure 2 (which I played SA2:Battle after Heroes) but while knowledge of that games story helps it's not required to enjoy Heroes). Song wise it's a pretty good song, with everything sound solid across the board. Not one of my favorite Sonic songs (one of my favorites is Dreams of an Absolution (Silver the Hedgehog's theme) from 06) but still a good one nonetheless.
