Good value .. free. Can't believe these videos have such low views, free Oxford Linear Algebra .. Better than what is being taught over here in Australia, using this a supplement for my current lectures.

So much better than the method we learn at A Level, this one works intuitively

Idk, we were told that using either EROs or the cofactor matrix to find the inverse of a 3×3 are both perfectly fine to use in an exam. A level further maths.

Excellent introduction. You could have noted that A^-1 A = I implies AA^-1 as people will see both definitions in text books. It’s more usual to store the sequence of EROs when solving equations, LU factorisation etc.

I'm wondering what the inverse gives from a geometric perspective? The orthogonal line/plane etc?

@TomRocksmaths is it possible if you could attempt a statistics and probability paper from AS level or A2 level

Thanks prof! Prof, a request, would you please cover eigen values and eigen vectors, really blessed for such a professor to be on youtube. I am sharing your video to my classmates :)

Hi Tom, would it be funny to teach us about an other really interesting inverse problem, the „inverse eigenvalue problem“?

Very interesting. 😍

Glad you think so!

I think the logic works like this EROperations(A) = EROperations(I) A So if EROperations(A) = I then EROperations(I) A = I and by definition EROperations(I) = A^(-1)

I've absolutely no idea what any of this means and I understand none of it. But I find it interesting to watch for some reason, and I hate maths 🤣
