I have the Magnifica and absolutely love it! It is the best investment I ever made with an appliance. We enjoy Latte’s made specifically to order and over time we have found it to yield saving money with no trips to the local coffee bar.

I don't understand why these companies have yet to make a fully automatic machine that has the kind of automatic frothing you get on the barista touch impress. I find it a lot more convenient placing a jug of milk on a temp sensor and giving it a quick rinse than dealing with a large container of milk that has to be thoroughly cleaned.

Hi Tom, thank you for your review on this video, from what i see from this machine I am quite impressed. Im finding myself having less time to make my cappuccinos at home using the DELONGHI Dedica Arte EC885.M. One thing that worries me is seeing the way cappuccinos are made with automatic variants as they put the milk in before the coffee which would mean that the milk and the creama dont mix on the surface. In your experience with the Magnifica Automatic how have you found the quality of cappuccinos in comparison to frothing and pouring the milk yourself?

@aeonjoey3d2 ай бұрын
Trying to figure out what the difference between the START and the EVO is, they seem identical minus some asthetic differences... the EVO has just two buttons more, an 'iced coffee' button and the 'My Latte' button. EVO owners know we can use the my latte button and the bypass setting to get a cup of frothed milk for hot cocoa, so without that button you might have to waste a puck to get the same from teh START, but Delonghi on their website show it capable of making an entire cup of foam by itself (in their marketing shots) so I'm confused. The iced drink setting on the EVO is basically the 'coffee' button, i don't know what it actually does differently, but it doesn't matter because you can't get any cup bigger than a mug under it.

Well, I don't know where you're watching from, but I spoke to Hibrew, and they said they're not gonna offer the H7A on the North American market, because it draws too much current, so the fused circuits cannot handle it. I guess they will be coming up with a different option in the future though.

Hello. Can you give the dimensions of this machine? I'm finding varied measurements depending on the site and we have a very specific spot to fit it in. Thank you
5:37 OK, the SA can make tasty coffee, but you cannot make an espresso and then a coffee with the same grinder adjustement. The coffee has x4 the amount of water, and the extraction goes deep into the realm of bitterness. You must change the grinder setting, and it takes at least two coffees to see the results.
@TomsCoffeeCorner3 ай бұрын
I find it's a matter of finding the sweet spot between the two. With fresh beans, I set the grinder to around 3 or 3.5, because any lower and I'd choke the brew group. Higher than that, and the shot comes out too fast. You also have to stop it in time if you want a shorter ratio. As for coffee, it might benefit from being set a little higher, but I am satisfied keeping it on the same setting as espresso. You will also see some european cafes make coffee cremas like that, keeping a fine grind size, but letting the shot run long to fill a cup. I quite like my coffee cremas in the morning, and I think that this is where these superautomatics shine.
@SergioGonzalezMartin3 ай бұрын
@@TomsCoffeeCorner I share your opinion when you say that super-automatic machines excel at making coffee cremas. When grinding coarsely, they are not penalized as much by having a mediocre grinder, and the extraction is more homogeneous. But as I was saying, if they do one thing well with one grind setting, they cannot do the other well.

A manual espresso machine with a decent grinder and the proper technique always gives you a better coffee.
@TomsCoffeeCorner3 ай бұрын
Well, you have a lot more control over the Barista Pro, and it can make better espresso and silkier milk foam. But it requires developing the skill, which is why a lot of people go for the superautomatics. I did a quick and dirty comparison here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rX2WlYN-Z62li9k

Don't need all these duffers' cappuccino gadgets. If they would just produce a machine with a plain honest simple steam wand I would buy it, even without a no-burn jacket.
