You actually can get the Blendjet base wet. I remember a commercial where they have it running under water. I've gotten mine wet often. At any rate, I dropped my BlendJet today on a rock hard floor, and it broke. So, I'm looking for a new portable blender. This video helped me.

I've been very curious to see a side-by-side comparison like this, so thanks for that! I currently have a Blendjet 2 and find that frozen fruit and/or ice will often bog it down. It doesn't seem to happen quite as often when I use the Blendjet's optional 32 oz blender jar, but it still happens more than I would like. It will be interesting to see how the Blast fares in that regard as more review videos are posted on KZbin. I do like the sip lid on the Blast, but it would be really nice if Ninja would also offer a larger 32 oz container like Blendjet does. It's awesome for doing things like making pancake batter, two smoothie servings, etc.

Just use the 32oz and add liquid first and then the frozen fruit. I flip the blender on its size and upside down also.

Blendjet all the way if your a Costco member. 2 for 49.99 normally, but is on sale right now for $39.99. That’s 20 a piece! I did invest in the 20oz upgrade and sip lid from website though.

I have had a Ninja Food Processor for many years and can’t complain about the quality. It would be nice if they offered a way to put a base on the vessel once blended so that you didn’t have to keep the blender portion on after blending. Then, if you got a second vessel, you could make two smoothies to blend and go!

I like the blendjet But what I would recommend (I work at Walmart and believe) they need to mark on their box a side of the instructions Need to line up the 2 arrow marks on the back in order for it to start because it is confusing.

Blendjet has a 5v motor and the Ninja has 7.4,in my opinion the ninja is better… not only is the the motor more powerful but it also looks better overall

I’ve had the blendjet2 since it was released - so over 3 years It’s definitely long in the tooth by todays terms of technology I mean it’s a portable blender that you can’t even drink out of - unless you buy the additional lid which sets you back another aud$30 Ninja have the portability part right

I’ll stick with my blendjet. It’s currently more versatile. They have different sized jars for blending. They have a 16oz and 32oz you can order from their site. At some point they’ll sell better lids for those who are sold on the ninja lid

The feel of the buttons on the Ninja Blast have a sturdier feel. I also like the fact that the usb port is on the back and not the front. The sip opening is a nice feature as well. Hopefully they go down in price

I love my blendjet2 I make some much with it and it does crush ice. Blendjet just came out with a drinkable lid. Ninja is ok but I have had issues with some products but we all have our preference. Good video.

I love my BlendJet2 and have been using it for over a year nearly everyday. My son used it and poured hot coffee in it causing it to start leaking. I replaced the bottom seal, but noticed the threads on the cylinder were broken in some places. Subtract at least one star for durability. Another thing I didn't like is the lid and the fact I can't put a straw in it to drink anything from it. I never used any of the JetPacks since none came with it. I generally use it for coffee (MCT oil, collagen...) and pour that mix into my coffee cup, so not being able to drink from the unit is no big deal. I agree, the Ninja seems to be about equal to the BlendJet. BlendJet has me hooked on the portable blender thing, so my next one may be something a little more durable. I like the 6-blade offset that BlendJet has. It really creates a nice vortex.

Yes the threads broke on mine after daily use for a month. The material must not be very durable. I took it back to Costco for a replacement and the same thing happened.

Ninja's battery is horrible. After two weeks, I can't blend one protein shake. This is after fully charging the unit. Conducted research, and it is a common problem. Should've done it before purchasing the ninja.

After owning this Ninja Blast for 3 months, I can say it's quite annoying to use regularly!!! 1- Takes literally 6 seconds from the time you push the power button to the time it will accept to start blending... Get used to turning it on before you start loading it or else those 6 seconds are very long when you turn it on right before needing to blend. 2- You get no warning whatsoever that the battery is getting low. One day, you'll turn it on and do it's 6 seconds boot up thing and show that it's ready...You load it all up and press blend and it'll start and quit right away and flash red... enjoy your half mixed drink. This further proves that not much is happening during these 6 seconds of booting up time. 3- Ties into point 2. Once it considers the battery to be dead, it will not blend at all, not even if you have it plugged in. Besides these annoyances, I have found it to blend very well.
