I'd say this is one of the best instructional videos on youtube. Well edited and the sound and content is perfect. Congrats on making such a pro video. By the way, the unit sold a Costco now comes with glass carafe.

I have this coffee maker for at least 2 years and I love it. It brews a delicious cup of coffee and it's easy to use. Nothing better than a cup of coffee made with fresh ground coffee beans!

How do you prevent the steam from the hot coffee sitting in your carafe causing the coffee grinds to stick in the chute, which for the next time blocks the fresh grinds from coming down?

I like how is has less parts than in the past, the optional reusable basket filter, the fact that the top is sealed so the beans stay fresh, also the beans go straight into brewing so no two devices and transferring it over and there is no hot plate either since the insulation keep sit hot also means you can use the programable feature and never have issues. I can see this as a game changer.

Is the carafe easy to clean? That is, can you put your hand inside to scrub the walls? The Breville one I've had for years is awesome but that's its downside - very difficult to clean inside (also it corroded and eventually started to leak after about 10 years).

The water hose leak water from the bottom of the maker. There is a youtube fix but finding the correct size hoses are a real pain. I've had 2 of these with same problem. They no longer sell this model.

Any idea what that hinged-looking piece is on the filter holder? Looks like it'd be a flip out handle, but mine won't budge.

How does this one compare to the Breville grind and brew?

Good question. This one is a little less work, but the Breville has more options like brewing right into a travel mug.

I just got this at Costco but it came with a glass carafe.

You have to unlock grinding hopper. Oh turn off. Take it off. And also take off top to the basket. The coffee is now rock hard in your drop shoot. On top, there's 2 holes. 1 is the bean drop shoot. The other is access to brush it through. Open that. Flip it open. There will be a build up of grind coffee. Because water is heated and steam moist powdered coffee and makes it dry hard. It should be close. On left side pull lever. Opens up to push the hard coffee powdered through to basket. I sometimes use skewer sticker to chip out hard pieces.
