Garmin you can make custom routes not sure about tom tom. Drive in NY City and it's priceless. Regardless both have you drive in the wrong side of the road.

You need a route with a low bridge, my tomtom took me towards a 12' 3" bridge, I was 16' 2". The routing isn't great, on another occasion, I needed to go south on the M1, the first junction was for North, it wanted me to take that, rather than the next roundabout.

@@kragger1985 it's the model before the latest model, the latest is the 6250? No its jcn 29a southbound heading from Staveley. It tells you to take the first roundabout which is northbound, to go to jcn 30 and head southbound, rather than take you to the next roundabout to continue southbound.

I got Tom Tom .. And I'm interested by trucks GPS.. in this case Garmin's.. present better the bifurcation.. see on 3:00 to 3:30 .. the right half screen of Garmin.. showing better way .. With Tom Tom is very weird .. For truck driver is very important to know exactly where to drive ..it's not like a car you can change the road how you want.. On 5:15 again the right half screen of Garmin shows you better way .. But is hard to choose between both of them.. Some situations I prefer TOM TOM ..

hey man. great channel but i would not go near a tomtom and suggests everyone stays away from them! to this day even i feel conned out. so... i purchased a tomtom highspec at the time around 300 pounds with lifetime updates, traffic and maps. 3 years later nothing wrong with the device at all. THEY STOPPED UPDATES FOR ALL OLD MODELS??. they just brought a new one out lol. honestly get one with life time updates and as even thgis reviewer says life time until the product is out dated (around 5 years). work it out if your model came out 2 years ago and you purchased it for a few hundred... its gonna be outed very fast leaving you with a perfectly working device but when the roads change you device wont tell you. WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH AND WASTE OF MONEY. (NICE VIDEO THO)

Nice video, interesting. neither of them dealt very well with that, pain in the arse, 30MPH cloverleaf on the A14, at about 4:10 min. I think that for trucks a sat nav could have a severe hazard warning for things like that.

for UK driving tomtom is a bit better, more p.o.i.s, and a bit easier to find addresses, and better interaction with mobile phones, however, for continental driving, longer distances (now, Im doing Portugal to Italy and Germany) the garmin calculates the journey way faster and its much much better built, I have both, but if I had to buy again, garmin would be my choice based on how sturdy it is, tomtom feels a bit flimsy on the cradle en connectors

at the bend (4.27) speed limit changes to 40 mph on tom tom correctly as in the road and on Garmin its showing 60 mph

Tom Tom is dreadful for routing, took me down a single track road through a forest near Leighton buzzard golf course, thank god I don’t drive an artic any more. Is Garmin any better though?

It's funny how you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time and that's what makes us as human beings so interesting. This was a great vid 👍👏. I'm now on my 4th snooper, an S6900 with mag mount. Nice bit of kit but shit speaker. I like snoopers software and the info it gives me is spot on. It's not laggy meaning I'm in exactly in the same place in the screen as I am on the road. No nav is perfect. From this vid, I would choose the way the dezl flags up info, the lay out and the lane guidance but the graphics of the Tom Tom is superior even to my Snooper which is very good in My opioion. If Snooper, Garmin and Tom Tom got together I'm sure an almost perfect sat nav would be born. Thanx for the vid, was good to see them working side by side. ✌️👏👍

Ime also a hgv driver..after advice please...I’ve always had Tom Tom ...I’ve been looking at 6250 professional...but my colleague has garman ..he can zoom out much easier to see connecting roads ..I also use when close to destination google maps on my phone if customer not at destination gets me right outside door ...how does the 6250 compare please..thankyou ash

zrobiona fajna robota z porownaniem!ja ostatnio zastanawiam się nad DEZL i widzę,że na filmie lepiej wychodzi w prowadzeniu i graficznie.TT idzie na ilość i widzę że w ciągu ostatnich 3lat wypuścił 3-4 modele dla dużych... #Hall Tech :napisz swoje odczucia z używania obu modeli?jak wygląda sprawa parkingów (dzikusow) w dezlu?bo w TT słabo to działa... ja od 4lat latam na sygic truck i gdyby te mapy zapakowali w takie urządzenie jak TT czy Garmin to byłoby super

tomtom czytelniejszy :-) 3 miesiące temu kupiłem go essential niestety się popsuło... ciągle pętla aktualizacji... kupiłem więc tydzień temu garmina 76 za 300 euro... pierwszy wyjazd do większego miasta... garmin na początku chciał bym jechał przez prywatną posesję później 2-3 razy kazał jechać pod prąd a gdy jechałem zgodnie ze znakami to darł się że jadę pod prąd :-) więc 300 euro wywalone w śmietnik bo przez taką nawigację może dojść do tragedii, a ostatnio informował mnie że mam skręcić w pierwszy zjazd na rondzie gdzie rondo było jakieś 5km przede mną a ja byłem jeszcze w środku miasta...

2 8 that’s what I thought but the garmin is bad, i got it 3 weeks ago and I don’t use it that much, I always revert back to google maps. The garmin takes me longer ways and it’s tried taking me down weight restrictions. I regret spending £400 on it.

The 570 is full of errors, in 60% off the maps giv error in speed limit ! You can't personalize the sound for eny alert has 1 sound for everything.TomTom is better.After traveling around Europe 16k km with Garmin 570 end trucker 6000 the TomTom was better .Wait for 580 don't bay the 570

Tom Tom is basicly crap no kidding.4 hrs in lane guidance stops working.need to keep re setting device so it works.van and bus settings speeds are all wrong.height width does not work set to 7ft sent me down 6ft road lol.sent Tom Tom back as all customer service said at Tom Tom 're set device on what didn't work.Garmin comes today by looking at reviews is a miles better device.also Tom Tom so slow it's unreal.keeps crashing also.
