@@whiteley-ke4gh "Greatest Song" is rather an opus than a song...take your time for that. Dead Boys Poem (as Tuomas isn't that boy anymore) is a real ballad, like Sleeping Sun. How's the Heart will be first played live at their virtual concert, yet the accoustic one with Troy on guitar and her only, is the one that gave me chills, Shoemaker has a killer finale, so Tuomas wife needed to fill in, probably to give Floor some time for her assault on the highest notes she ever hit with Nightwish. Last but not least "The Poet and the Pendulum" (live from Wembley), which made it onto my podium of all Nightwish songs maybe even filling the very top step. It seemed to correlate with my mood back then, when I needed to listen to it 20 times in a row after my first hearing!

That being said, I should give you a heads up on the live videos uploaded via DvD or Blue ray that have faulted on the bitrate transfer and finalized either too slow or too fast on KZbin. So, please when you do your Nightwish reactions, make sure you're videos were uploaded by "Nuclear Blast Records" or "Nightwish" if at all possible, if only to avoid a false introduction to a video. A vocal coach recently reacted to "I Want My Tears Back" Buenos Aires 2018 and I couldn't even watch the whole thing because the video she was reacting to was just too fast. I actually felt bad! Like she was cheated out of what would otherwise have been an absolutely awesome experience. Anyway... Great to hear more from Sarah (no disrespect Tom😉) - she's got an eye for detail. Over the years I hadn't really been interested in lyrics and their meaning - but with Nightwish I think it's very desirable - you go into a song fully prepared and it has more of an emotional effect on you, ( so many people are in tears as a result - especially to Poet and the Pendulum)! If you're going to double up with The Greatest Show on Earth - even more so, especially at the end - very overwhelming! Looking forward to it.

nigthwish music is a celebration of human achievement and creativity. The sound has changed over time but then people change over time as well, whether good bad or indifferent. Me I have enjoyed it all pretty well from the start, although the latest album is so different it did catch me off guard but I love it now.

I find it easier to answer the question, "what is your favorite Nightwish song" with, YES. I use to have favorites when I first started listening. But, like many people each new song became a favorite. So now, every one is my favorite, or the one I am listening to now.
