I agree man. Shigaraki is one of the most deeply developed antagonists I've seen in quite some time, and his parallels with other people in the show just go to prove how well he is written. Because while his actions are disgusting, every other character, whether they be heroes or villains, have convictions weaker tham Tomura's for 99% of the cases. Tomura's convictions literally outshine, and disprove other's ideals just by his existence alone. Truly a masterpiece of an AMV/Tribute. Amazing man.

Shigaraki is my 2nd favourite character. He's deep and well written and I feel sorry for him. I've never thought badly about him, I always see him as a cute, 20 yo boy who likes games and cares about his people. I hope he will be happy ;_;

This turned out amazing! It’s also one of my favorite amv’s I think one of the most consistent themes in MHA is how rejection in society can shape a person, as we see it with the majority of the LOV. The only one I’m not so sure about fitting this is Mr. Compress, but other than that each member has been brutally rejected by society and all the LOV shows, is that they accept this. They want change, somehow, someway. At the end of the day, they aren’t that different from heroes. Both use dirty methods. Both want change. But it’s because of the whole hero thing that these villains exist. It’s just the cat and mouse, joker and Batman thing really. Thanks for coming to my TED talk lol

Woah The Dabi episode came out And one of my favorite creators posted on the same day If that's not an early Christmas present, I don't know what is. Amazing as always 👌 I've always enjoyed Shigaraki as a character, the parallels he has with Deku is just the icing on the cake.

Haha thank you! Yes, Shigaraki was a character I wasn’t particularly invested in at first, but he definitely grew on me over time and is now up there with the greats!

Horikoshi really had an opportunity to make one of the most well-written villains I've seen, It's a shame he was plagued by deteriorating health and Shonen Jump's taxing scheduling. Shame there isn't a thing we can do to give these artists the time they need to fully develop their stories.

This is so good, it feels like an official video. Not fan-made. Incredible work with this, truly. I stopped watching My Hero Academia about a year and a half ago after becoming interesting in other media and becoming busy with school and later work. My siblings and I have returned to watching it as of last week, and I'm amazed how much has happened throughout Season 5 and 6. We are currently eagerly awaiting the next episode. Now 18, I think I'm able to appreciate the show and its characters more (started watching it around age 14 or 15 with my friend.) I jokingly hated on Shigaraki but he's a solid villain and character. I'm going through and reading up on and watching a bunch of AMV's on MHA characters and right now I'm trying to learn all I can about Shigaraki and his motives. This video of yours captures everything perfectly. It reminds me how good My Hero is, and makes me happy to have gotten into it because the storyline is so captivating and each character so interesting. Amazing work. 👏🏽

Aha thanks so much! I think it’s fine to have hated on Shigaraki before. To be fair, he started off intended to be childish and incompetent so it’s valid to have mocked him, but he’s now grown into an amazing character. I think the fact he’s grown and developed is a nice change from the typical ‘established and experienced villain’ and makes it easier to appreciate his journey. Thanks again!

Well all 3 villains are amazing Dabi is like shoto He wanted to be better for his Father , same as Shoto wanted love from mother Afo is like Bakugo Both see/read hero , but didn't understand concept how hero should be Both show themself as worst brother/friend because of their ambitious Shigaraki had some way as had Deku. But if Deku had mother , Shigaraki lost her but was with ability that Deku didn't had from the beginning And also both had mentors who protect them in their beginning

What makes me laugh is that she didn’t even change his name. Not only did he keep his first name but he lived his entire life with her surname. If AFO is revealed to have been the one to track down the Shimura family and give Tenko the decay quirk (which is heavily hinted at) then it is entirely Nana’s fault for being incompetent 😂

I've always agreed with Shigaraki from the start because I understood him.. the pain of being betrayed by the one's you love by society being hurt and knocked down over and over and people just watching as you struggle. As you are rejected from society... he could've been saved but society failed them..everyone failed them, failed him. So he was always right and i follow his beliefs about how society is so damaging and fickle. And I hope he gets what he wants and I hope society realizes what it did to those who needed help the most..like me or like Shigaraki the ones who just wanted help but never got it. If society must reject me for me to grow so be it i never needed them to help me because I am not worth the help in their eyes. And when they finally see what I've become in the future they'll realize their faults. No, I'm not gonna try and destroy the world..I'll just show the world how broken it's made me and others like me.

I attempted a dub version but I think I ran into audio mixing trouble as Shigaraki’s voice is a little hard to work with. At some point, I’m gonna attempt to go back & do a sub version of the Dabi video & a dub version of this one (as long as I can find all the project files 😅) It will be a while if it does happen though!
