How's it brotha Long? OK, i own a OLP 5 String and it's all stock. I want to soop it up what do u suggest i can do. I see you have the SEB 3 pre amp in this Bass here. Can i use that pre in my OLP which only has the single MM pup in it. Also, should I just get a pre amp and leave the stock pup or get a whole new pup. I was thinking of getting the Aguilar 5M.

You can use the 3 in. Your olp .just use one side

johnny long OK thank you sir but I'm a bit confused. You said use one side. Does that mean that the other knob will be useless? Sorry I'm about as sharp as a bowling ball. I want to be able to get that high and or low end. 😏🤷🏾‍♂️

One side meaning u are running one pickup in humbucking mode..all your controls will work but u only have one pickup so, you will either choose right or left side

Ooh, I would've reversed that EMG P pickup in the MM Bass. I've never really been a P-Bass pickup kinda guy. The only time I ever use a P-Bass, is when the people that pay me, insist on it in the studio. Otherwise, there's a good chance I wouldn't even own one. I own 1 P-Bass, and 2 MIJ Fenders with P+J pickup configuration, with the P pickup reversed, like on Spectors, and the old USA Jackson basses, from back in the 1980's. Reversed, those pickups have so much more definition, and punch, while still keeping that old school, wooly tone that P pickups are known for.

It's very nice to see your positive attitude and awesome playing. I have a Sterling Ray35 and after some flat wounds enjoy the sound I get. It was neat to hear the sounds of your sub after you modified it. Thanks for the reply, stay dry, and waiting for your next video.
