I had the LH500 for a few years and on its own it seems to not have enough low end but once I added the Hartke Preamp pedal it was glid to go, I also ran a Tech 21 VT pedal and man it sounded really nice. These are really good pedal platforms and the simple eq really helps because you don't havebto fight it. I did get mine used for $150 and about a year later it started to sound kinda lifeless then I remembered it had a 12ax7 so i put a new JJ and man oh man did it come to life (still not enough low end)

This one is not lacking in low end at all. It has plenty of lows on tap. I run a StingRay5 through this thong & the B string shakes the crap out of the place.

Hey there! Awesome review. Reassuring to hear that those negative reviews didn't add up based on your personal experience. Impressed that the outdoor gig only required 1.5 volume....wow! Quick question: if I connect it up to an 800W @ 8ohm speaker cabinet, will this generate problems in your opinion? I obviously don't want to blow the cabinet, but since the rated output power for the LH1000 in Bridge Mode is 1 x 750 watts @ 8 ohms, in theory it should be safe...right? Thanks for any advice.

You will be ok but, you will be really close to the limit of the cab so don't push the volume to far. You should not have to though. The amp is really loud. I only run it bridged & it thumps hard.

I bridged mine bridged and have it running into two hartke hd 410s chained, so 4ohms. That head gets pretty hot. What do you know about that? Also, when you bridge it and have to use the speakon jack, the wiring diagram on the back of the head shows a +1 -1. I have just standard speakon cables, so would that matter? Im just worried about it getting so hot. Im almost ready to buy a new head.

Hi Dustin. I was talking to you about this on your Facebook thread on the Hartke page. It sounds to me like a fan issue. You need to verify that all three fans are working by taking off the top & visually inspecting them. Replacing a fan would be a lot cheaper than replacing an amplifier.

Hi, I have a Classic SVT 410 cabinet . Do you think it can handle the lh1000 on bridge mode ?
@BassHappy643 ай бұрын
The SVT410HLF is rated as a 4 ohm 500 watt cabinet. The LH1000 in bridge mode puts out 1100 watts into a 4 ohm load. That amp will blow up a SVT410HLF.

@@BassHappy64 actually my cabinet is the svt410 he, 500w 8 ohms . The LH would deliver 750 woudnt it ?
@BassHappy643 ай бұрын
@Vinigambetta yes that is correct. The LH1000 delivers 750 watts when bridged into an 8 ohm load. If you are conservative with the volume, the amp will power that cab fine but I would be worried about the peaks damaging the speakers.

what is the hum coming from?

That would be the single coil pickups in my bass. Without a gate they are pretty noisy.

Why don’t you use a hartke cab .?
@BassHappy6411 ай бұрын
I received the head before the cabs. The Ampeg SVT410HLF was all I had at the time. Now I have the HL410 & HL115 & I did another video with the whole rig.

Any idea how the LH1000 compares to the LX8500?

I have no experience with the LX8500.

how do you bridge the signal? I have mine going to a 410 I don’t know how to use the bridge
@BassHappy6411 ай бұрын
You can only use the Speakon connector in bridge mode. There is a small switch embedded in the back under the speaker connections with an arrow pointing to the right. First, be sure the amp is turned off. Use a small object like a pin or pen to move the switch all the way right. Put the balance knob on the front in the center position. Plug a Speakon cable into the amp & speaker. Be careful because now, the amp is capable of delivering 750 watts to an 8 ohm load & 1100 watts to a 4 ohm load. Make sure your speaker enclosure can handle that wattage.

Hi, I have a SVT Classic 410he cab, from 2000. 500watt. Do you think it can handle the bridge mode 8ohms if I don't turn to loud ?
