These Fesley Guitars really impressed me, but there were some questions about QC and if anyone orders one if it would be as good as mine... so I ordered 2 more. These really are the Amazon guitars every player should know about!

Looks like Fesley has figured out that good hardware and electronics are worth the investment. Wilkinson Tremolo Bridges have a good reputation for tuning stability. The guitars sound great! Wishing Fesley great success with their guitars and smart decisions! Looking forward to the Tele review as well. It will be interesting to see if they've used comfort cuts or not. Thanks HW for going the extra mile with the review-demos!

These jams at the beginning are inspiring - it’s a good reminder to actually play melodies and music and not just shred up and down the scale - thank you. As far as guitar goes I’m left handed so a lot of manufacturers aside from Harley Benton, Eastwood etc. don’t offer left handed models. It’d be cool to get your take on that - because left handed guitar players have way more options than even 10 years ago, but even then there seems to be discontent among consumers, mainly directed at big brands like Fender, Gibson etc.

I bought the Fesley FST1000 Ghost Series in sunburst about a month ago. It's a fantastic guitar. It also has coil splitting. The humbucker is HOT enough to get great rock tones also. Mine was about 13.4k. The roasted maple neck is also quartersaw'd. Bone nut and the floating bridge is also level to the fret board on delivery...My acclimated also...Needed a minor truss rod adjustment then it was set perfect. Also my strings are low, like really low just the way I like em...String gauges are 46 to 10 on mine...Great video!

Guys, I may have impulse bought one of these for fun. It's actually not bad for the price point. It's better than any squire I've tried in the same price point. My other higher end hss strat comes this week so I'm curious how it stacks compared to it. No issues with buzzing or sharp frets on mine. They also include a sanding block to correct any sharp frets so that's cool.

Hey HW, lovely honest reviews of what looks and sounds like a gorgeous low price high quality guitar for pretty much any player 😍 Really trust your opinions on guitars and I also love Wilkinson products on my guitars. I own a bucketload of Vintage (the brand) guitars which was a collab between Trev Wilkinson and JHS in the UK. I would love to see you review some of their classic and now new more premium guitars as, well, I can't get Fesley easily here in the UK and I would definitely say that Vintage Guitars are the same sort of price point plus they now have higher priced custom shop versions. I think you would love them and would be fascinated to get your insight on them. Cheers M

Today's $399-$499 guitar is 2006's $99 guitar. I got a Peavey Reator (I ended up buying another one I liked to so much, and let a friend borrow it, and never saw it or my friend again, LOL) for $99 in 2006, and it was every bit as good of a guitar as my Mexican Strat (Which another of my friends stole and sold, which turned out to be a good thing, since I ended up with the awesome American Strat I have now), except maybe the tuners were not the best, but I had a pair of Grovers put on at Portland Fret Works, and that fixed that. I could have kept the old tuners they were fine, but I didn't like the turning ratio they had, as I have hand problems and making fine adjustments is harder for me on 1x10 or 1x12 tuners, than 1x16 or 1x18 ratio turners.

So I got a Black one. QC was as good as one can expect in the 400-600 dollar price bracket. My only niggles. Saddles are set wonky to plane of tail piece and I can feel a few sharp frets if I hunt for them. You would never feel these playing unless you let the guitar really dry out. Any guitar can do that. The QC is better then the QC on my 40th Anniversary Squire Jazzmaster had and I paid a lot more for it. Any issues I found can be corrected by a good set up. ( You can set up your own guitar cant you? If you can you better learn. ) It has 9's. I play flat wound 10's so it's going to get a set up by me as soon as it's good an acclimated anyway. Tuners are like butter.

There are many guitars nowadays that compete both sonically and quality-wise with the typical name brands for a substantially lower cost. I own many, as I do more expensive ones. Inferior hardware/pickups are definitely a negative. The neck/playability, however, will instantly make or break it. Especially for anyone who can't or doesn't want to address it. A $300.00 guitar that plays well out of the box or with minimal setup is always a welcome bargain imho. CNC machining vs "hand-made" has allowed drastically reduced manufacturing prices while keeping ultra-tight specs resulting in better overall quality in most cases.

Curios why the Fesley guitars have 2 string tree's...What is the purpose of the string tree for the D&G stringss? I use Nash guitars which I think are some of the best made guitars. What are your thoughts?
@ToneJunkieTV
@ToneJunkieTV 8 күн бұрын
The purpose of string trees is to increase the break angle over the nut. In general if the distance between the flat plain of the headstock and the height of the nut is not great enough for a proper angle string trees are used. Slant back headstocks won’t need it, headstocks with a greater distance from the flat plane to the nut won’t need it but a style non slant headstocks almost always need them for the e and b at least. The other way to increase the break angle is to wrap more string on the TJ ing post so the string sits lower on the tuning post thus increasing the angle.

Hey HW, great video and playing, but I'd like to point out something I've notice when you were tuning the guitar. You're tuning the strings in order from E to e, but on a guitar with a ''floating'' bridge, no matter if it's a double-locking Floyd Rose or a simple 2-point vintage trem, you should always tune your strings by keeping string balance. Start with the E string, then jump straight to e, B, A, G and then D. You don't have to start with E.. I often do e, B,E,A,G,D and it does pretty much the same thing (keep the balance). If you don't do that, in most cases, some strings will shift slightly out of tune while you tune the next strings because you're changing the overall tension. Just like when you break a string and the whole guitar goes out of tune. I know I will get some replies from random players who will laugh and argue that they never did that in their entire life and their guitars were always tuning fine... but I don't care.. they just never realized it. I'm so used to tune my guitars that way.. I even do it on hardtails (even though it's not necessary). Give it a try and you will definitely notice the difference!

HW, I'm in Australia and we can't get these cheap Amazon American brands here, I'd have to import and with that expense it makes them not worth it at all. If you can do a brother a favour and review this value packed Cort g260cs which I can actually buy here - that'd be amazing. It's wired properly for a HSS. Humbucker sees 500K, singles see 250K - unlike an expensive Fender Japan Strat I once bought that had the humbucker seeing 250K which ruined it. It has a bone nut, and a triple bleed circuit so the treble doesn't die when you roll off the volume, and it has a nice looking roasted neck. Check it out man.

Sounds better than the crap Fenders producing as the only way to get a good Fender in 2025 is to buy a US Strat as the Player series is sub standard and the new Standard series is no good as its a Squier with Fender logo on the neck and its not about the fact its made in Indonesia its the fact they want $599 for a guitar with a Poplar body and an Indian Laurel neck , no good at all.
