A request for future videos like this: could you set up a morph control on the remote when demoing parameter changes so you can AB the two sounds without having to stop playing? It would really help to hear the subtle differences between sounds, and the Kemper makes it really easy to set up on the fly.

The compressor/compression is probably the most important tool in audio history. Great video

Thanks again for sharing! Good to get a breakdown of how these compressors work and all of the options in the Kemper. I always used and still do put one gain stage before the compressor and one gain or boost after in tube amps+pedalboard set ups. Had some fun playing around with this in the kemper as well. Especially liked how you broke down touch sensitivity and the new world of the 'amp' compressor.

Cool video. I think the Squash parameter is really just the release time which is found on studio compressors. Minimum squash = slow release time giving the effect of more dynamic range/less sustain volume; Maximum squash = fast release time giving the effect of less dynamic range/more sustain volume.
@amado54902 жыл бұрын
I would expect a slow release to dull the dynamics sore than a fast one, as the compressor holds for longer. Also, in the video he says that minimum squash gives a lot of sustain.

HW, hope you´re fine and healthy. You nailed the point. I personaly like your profiles, but for more dynamic i personaly turn down to out the comp in the amp section.

Your last Comment. "The Kemper is So Amazing". I cannot disagree with in the slightest. The fact that it is still so relavent is what amazes me. I love mine. I have tube amps, but with the Kemper I have access to literally thousands of Tube amps. Amplifiers I could never have access to due to $$$ or rarity are available to any and all. It still amazes me how good it sounds. Thanks HW. Stay safe..

I have a lot of angst in My playing... I'm new to The Kemper and am unfamiliar with compression and settings. Can I make changes to the compressor using rig manager ? Thank You for all of Your videos! They are excellent! I'll be buying Your everything pack, soon! Jay

Would love to see a video of matching volumes from a pedal board to the pedals on the Kemper volumes since the update. I can't get it nailed down.

I feel like every video I watch is like I bought a new piece of gear and am excited to try it out. The Kemper has become indispensable to me. Thanks. for all the great content. Regarding compression , Do you find it useful or beneficial playing Metal and punk ? Or will this just add even more drive to the sound and make it mushy? cheers!

Shouldn't you have the Mix/blend all the way off when showing what the attack does? The transient is mixed back in so...

Hw, could you do just one “HW out” with a cavernous reverb delay thing that modulates and dies out with the hint of an 8 bit grainy distort on the tail. Return to your signature “out” immediately - of course! The worlds gone nuts but not that nuts.

Tim Balfe 🤣 I should use the cirus verb on the Kemper!

Hi HW - are you miking up the Kabinet now for these videos or sending us the master out feeds? Ps. Yeah - that amp compression is magical - makes my fluffy fingers so much smoother.

Do you find that compression reduces the ability of your guitar to "cut" thru the mix in a live situation?
@jasonrightler67254 жыл бұрын
I do. But its a trade off, because a separate compression unit it the signal chain often is used to boost overall levels. If I want to have passages where i cut trough more and/or less, the compressor allows me to do that better with the volume knob.

Do you really love that guitar, HW? I can't really believe anyone can truly love a Suhr or a PRS.
