Absolutely, I really should have mentioned that but hopefully people will see your comment. Also some amp heads do not include the reverb circuit compared to their stack and combo models and use even less CPU resources.

Strange. Fender has the resources and experience to avoid these issues. Line 6 has been very creative in optimizing software with updates and features around a chipset at least 6 years old.

@@pearsonart I assume models will be optimised over time but I assume they were being pretty conservative initially to avoid any backlash for crashes

That is a great question, I've always assumed not but you have to add an "effects block" to do it so it must have some affect. I will investigate further

But 6 presets vs 8 scenes is not better!! until Fender let us use all switches they way we want, like removing bank up bank down and use it as a preset.

It is limited like HX Stomp... but the big boy Helix has twice as much CPU. Disappointing.

It's really not that bad though, I've never come up against major CPU limits with the presets I've created you need to be using a lot of effects. If it's because you are using multiple Amps it's easy to just create a separate preset as it has noiseless switching. But I thought it was worth pointing out anyway.

@@JonsGuitarGarage I wonder how pitch shifter limits CPU. Does it have polyphonic one? BTW fot me (my opinion and I might be wrong) it is disappointing that the CPU of this unit is worse than 9 yo Helix.

@@wolfhorsky the pitch shifter isn't very good I don't use it, it's ok for like octaver style effects but not like a drop tune. I don't think the CPU is less powerful than a helix though?

Personally I think Fender are being conservative with their processing limits just to ensure the unit doesn't crash when it is such a new product. But that's just a guess.
