Well, that's fascinating. I got it wrong, but that's because I assumed the clip that sounded the closest must have been NAM. You just made me happier with my Tonex!

Say even though they sound the same or close I would still go with tonex for the support behind it. But having NAM along with Tonex don't hurt.

Wohoo, I was so sure about it and was right :-))... As I said after the blindtest: When you listen to the high frequencies, it is quite obvious who is who. I am very much into the studiogear profiles like Studer and Neve and for those it is quite important to have that high frequency content as close as possible.

I guessed correctly, but is was very close, both sounded good and usable. All the top Profiling and Modelling platforms are so good these days it doesn't matter much which you use. I kind of feel the "tone obsession" thing is pretty well played out. Thanks

The NAM is monstrous! I’ve the pre amp from tech 21 Steve Harris and I tried a profile in that a found in tonehunt, ITS THE SAME SOUND

NAM and Tonex are amazing!

Glad my studio monitors and ears where good enough to pick out B as more close to the amp, but agree you could use either in context of a mix and be perfectly fine though I still lean toward real amp when I have one.

Haha! Nailed it. Although i forgot to say which was which. I just preferred A

In terms of playing live what will make or break these for me is whomever had the best parametric EQ

these both sound excellent, I do like Tonex a little more though.
