A detailed retelling of William Mariners classic book, Tonga Islands, from a native Tongan perspective.
In 1806 William Mariner stopped off in Tonga in the Ha'apai Islands where most of the adults on his ship were slaughtered by the natives. He becomes adopted by the King Chief and General of Tonga and raised by the youngest wife of that King, Finau 'Ulukalala, a native of Ha'apai. This is his story.

Incorrect! We are from the tibe of Naphtali one of the 12 Tribes of Israel. Genesis 49:2/Genesis 33:23. We were scattered here from Israel jus like the our brothers from the other tribe(Native American Indians). We are the real Israelites according to the Bible.

I believe he wanted to be among the big civilizations, too big too soon. The other islands made sure their lands and their constitution supercede all agreements and transaction so that no foreigners could own property their. Where Hawaii monarchy actually sold lands outright to foreigners. Otherwise foreigners would only be leasing to this day. In a nut shell...
