I don't play GG, but from my pov this looks more fun that GGS. Strive looks like a spam show with a lot of characters and this game has more movement, I'm probably wrong though

You're def right. Strive has lower movement demands, less attacks, and relatively easier and shorter combo routes, but in that trade off also comes way higher damage and attacks are stronger due to the closer, scrappier nature of the game. Rev 2 has more movement, more moves, and even more screen space, but it also comes with weight classes for characters, Homing Dashes and Jumps, Blitz attacks and way more of intricate features that anime fighters are known for. Depends on what you want in a fighting game. Both are very fun in very different ways.

It was a much deeper game which has its ups and downs. Modern fighting game is all about accessibility now so I doubt we will see games like this again.

No, you're essentially right. The YRC Problem™ in Xrd definitely looms over the neutral game, but if you're willing to accept some dumb aggro (which every game has) then it's an infinitely replayable and extremely rewarding game. It regularly goes on sale for like $15 on Steam, and there are open player lobbies most evenings. Give it a try and I'm sure you'll have fun. (I also have a few match analysis videos on my channel if you want to get more insight into how neutral decisions are made.)

Can we just like xrd without not liking strive? Why are strive fans talking about how they like strive because the game is fun, while xrd fans say they like their game because strive is shit? I play both and enjoy both the same amount. It's ok to like xrd and not strive, but can you all stop talking like this isn't exactly how +R fans talked about xrd?
