I noticed she did not mention, Holding position; fingers held perpendicular, at 45 degree with 90 degree elevation. Also, over-directing the hair 90 degree at the crown / recession

You should never point cut wet hair and besides that if your hair cutting technique is sound you don't need to point cut unless you've exhausted all other techniques as point cutting on fine hair like this can make the hair look weak

GREETINGS FROM KENTUCKY THE HAIRCUT IS DONE PERFECTLY LET'S BE UPLIFTING TO OTHERS GOD ONLY KNOWS WE LIVE IN SUCH A NARCISSISTIC COUNTRY PEOPLE DON'T CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER THAT'S TOO MUCH OF AN INDIVIDUAL INDIVIDUALITY MENTALITY WHICH CAUSES DIVISION THAT'S WHY WE HAVE SO MUCH PROBLEMS IN THE UNITED STATES THAT OTHER COUNTRY OTHER DEVELOPED NATIONS DO NOT OTHER COUNTRIES EVERYBODY CARES ABOUT ONE ANOTHER IT'S COMMUNAL THINKING NOT SELF-CENTERED

Great cut but why are so many tutorials showing the stylist being so heavy handed and aggressive when sub sectioning? It looks painful for the client.

@patpatmoomoo55248 жыл бұрын
Must be hard to be a barely-working model who has to take jobs like this.... She's such a beauty, yet for creative types like this guy, she's replaceable if not disposable..... So creative to cut hair without a cape, all for the sake of pleasing the eye...smh
@nathanm85438 жыл бұрын
+Mp Mota -- Do you know the young woman? How would you know how often she works simply because she opted to appear in a haircutting video, let alone that she models at all? Sounds like you yourself are uninformed, uncertain and therefore ambivalent as to her merit as a model, or otherwise. Salon folk: gotta love 'em.

I would agree. But I do respect this stylist's story. He basically fell into hairdressing. He was a talented athlete. He's had to commit to the discipline of hair from that perspective. So you have to give him major credit for his effort. I would imagine he's received handsome dividends from his dedication, some three years on.

Frank Moran Hello! He’s the son of GUY MOSCOLO! He has excellent training from his uncle Anthony Mascolo! THAT IS THE GUY FROM TONI&GUY! Although he’s a very friendly man. I like him a lot.

with a model as good looking as that you could cut her hair with a knife & fork! I could do it better i n half the time & probably charge 20% of the price.its all SMOKE & MIRRORS.

Toni and Guy education- cutting the hair without the cutting cape. Such a mess on client's part. What a shame.
@kevseb669 жыл бұрын
DINI FINITI This whole "educational video " was a complete mess for a few reasons. I have a hard time believing this dude had a clear direction with this "cut". They say there's no right or wrong when it comes to artistic expression but I beg to differ cause this looks like crap. And what the hell was going for in the fringe area. This was just awful & she'll be in someone else chair to fix whatever that was he did.
@shawnaclanton47887 жыл бұрын
I've been a salon owner and educator for over 25 yrs. This isn't beauty school. I always drape my clients but sometimes when educating you can show the lines of the neck and back without cape.
@amorseko47457 жыл бұрын
I am an assessor in hairdressing as well. He will surely fail in my assessment. Always remember that our concern is not only the outcome of our work, but also the safety of the client and cleanliness of what we are doing. One more thing- the fact that Toni and Guy team is showing us how a particular haircut is being done is also called "educating" the audience. We don't necessarily have to go to a hairdressing school to educate people.

Sloppy techniques, poor dexterity, no innovation in the shape, wrong cutting comb - very cookie-cut. Hair was too wet. And, yes, I would agree with some of the others taking exception to the model not being given a robe or cape. Nothing world-class about that. Sorry, I hate to belabor the critique, but I've seen this stylist in a few videos, and the high-caliber effects just aren't there. But he is very handsome. There's no arguing that.
