Man people in rec are really disturbed people I remember I had 32 no misses and I had 12 assists 3 rebounds 3 steals 2 fouls 2 turnovers and I was talking just telling them to cut just basic calls and after we won they all came to game chat and said I was trash and had no life. I only get one day off and I can only play 2k for 4 hours once a week

If you get a lot of momentum in rec your ganrunteed to either get hoed by the game or have your teamates sell misreably thinking they already won the game. I seen that happen when my team up by 25 with 4 min left and we gave up the lead bc my teammates played dumb

I've never teamed up with anyone in rec,always play with randoms.record this season is 29-19...averaging 10-17-5-3..it gets annoying though when 2 or 3 of your teammates quit before end of 1st quarter,and you are getting double and triple teamed in the paint every posession

I realized rec randoms got worse around 2k20 when the park became an absolute sweat fest. All the bums ran to a different game mode thinking shit was sweet so they could avoid losing and still do because they lack basic basketball IQ

I really try to go in the rec solo only when I have a PG out these days. I find if I run point and go pass heavy early, I can consistently keep the ball in my hands and do my best to keep the team chemistry by getting everyone buckets. Oc, you do occasionally end up with 4 absolute bums who don't have the IQ to see the buckets you're setting them up for, but I digress 😟

I’m just spitballing here but maybe there should be a few different leagues of Rec where there’s certain requirements to play. And to balance it out u have to have maybe a certain build and if you finish below a grade the league will be locked for a week maybe and u will have to drop down to the lower leagues in order to keep playing Rec. It could really encourage good sportsmanship and definitely limit griefing and increase the likely hood of closer games. Idk I didn’t give it much thought tho I thought of it for a few seconds lol lemme know if it doesn’t really make sense idk
