Hi Crazy Harry; up to date the whole project has cost very little as I've got good money from selling of the unwanted parts of the three cars. The Marks Adaptor kit has been (to date) the major cost which was used to help bolt it all together and make engineering easier.

Bara Verses LS... the debate will last a lifetime... I choose this LS3 as it came with the complete VE Maloo R8 vehicle and I got to use the seats, seat belts, wiring loom plus a few other parts.

NA ls is better than a Barra for this cause the v8 torque will be much more tractable than a Barra where you gotta wait for the turbo to spool

Mmmmmm but most 4x4s are turbo diesel.... besides a mild tuned and 98Ron fuel a N/A barra has as much torque as most of the 4cyl turbo diesel 4x4s on the market now... anyway it was just a bit of mucking around and a bit of joke hence the LOL. I know the battle between the "barra vs LS" is alive and well. 👍😁

Hey Chris, yep all is good. I've run smaller turbo diesels, V8 Cruiser turbo diesel and they all work well. I just wanted a V8 petrol for this project. It'll get used plenty for long distance touring and low range 4x4ing, so time will tell how good it is and how much fuel it'll chew. I might do some sort of a comparison with my currant V8 Troopy - that would be interesting on the dyno togther. The 6 speed auto should help too.
